Title: Hello! Happy Sunday!
Post by: DeeanDave on September 13, 2009, 01:42:01 PM
Sarge N Duggie here:  We must apologize that we have been absent....Mom hasn't let us on the puter lately!  She's been busy canning peaches, and homemade salsa, and making jam plus workin' on the quilts that she is making.  She's doing all this in between giving us our snuggles....we demand those!  If she tries to ingore us, we get into trouble to remind her that we are here!  We've been busy supervisin' while she has been canning and in order to do this, we make sure that we have pulled our blankies to the middle of the kitchen floor and then proceed to take naps on them.  No way can she ignore us, iffen we are in the middle of the floor!  Here are some latest pictures of us on the newest quilt......this one is for Dad for his birthday!  And, also, we have included some piccies of some new material that Mom found at the fabric store.......we see some smaller versions of for doxies-only size quilts coming down the road....soon!   And,  there appears to be enough  to material for us two to have a quilt and a few extras......mom sezs she has plans for the material.  Auntie Roberta,  Mom still needs to make the quilt with the panel that you sent to her......it's on her list to do soon!  She sezs that she plans to make it and keep it for whenever sometime in the far future, a grandbaby comes along!  No grandbabies in the horizon yet, though!

We are also going to be batchin' it with Dad this coming Thursday and Friday....Mom has the nerve to leave us and go to Leavenworth with a friend of hers.  Her friend lost her Mom just recently and it has been rough for her.  So, she and Mom decided that the best medicine was two days in Leavenworth where they can shop and eat until they drop!  She said that doxies and her friends golden retriever and blue heeler and the two dads hafta stay home!  Now, we ask......is that fair??????  After all, Leavenworth is a Bavarian Village and we doxies are German!  Oh well, we'll have fun at home with dad, we guess!

Well, here are the pictures........have a good Sunday!  And, to all the grandparents of us doxies......."Happy Grandparents' Day"!!

I love the colors in Dave's quilt and I absolutely love the material with the Doxies on it! I think the boys definitely deserve their own quilt, but wouldn't be surprised if they ignore and go for the big ones! Schatzi always loves to stay underfoot, too. Even if I move her bed in the room with me, she still finds a way to get right where I am.
The trip sounds like a great thing to do. Sarge and Duggie-You'll survive-the Dad's usually have the most treats!

I love the material with the "Dachshies" on it! Where did you find it! My nephew would love it to make pillows for the Midwest Dachshie Fest next year!

BEAUTIFUL! I don't know how you guys do that. I would have my thumbs sewed into the fabric in no time. Love the colors. And the doxie material...what a find! Great job Dee.

I hope you and your friend have a fun and healing trip to Leavenworth. I love that town. I took Hallie there for a couple of days on our first Mother's Day together. You might have to bring da boyz back some sausage so they will forgive you for your absence but I have a feeling Dave will spoil them properly.

You need a break after all that wonderful canning you did.

Merline and Porky Pie,

We will watch for da cops when Mom comes home! She keeps  tellin' us dat Leavenworth really is a German Bavarian Town and that she plans to do some shoppin' there.  There is a doggie shop there and she better bring us back something from there.  I, Sarge, know for a fact that its there cuz I'se been there a long time ago and Mom sezs it's still there!  And, she really owes us big time especially me, Sarge, cuz she took me to da doctor today and I had to get my "ahem" rump squeezed......and, my toes chopped!!!!!!  And, she says that I have to go back in late October for a teeth cleaning and while they have me "out", a growth removed!  Dats not until the end of October though, cuz my doctor is going on bacation the first two weeks of October....she sezs her niece is getting married....so the doctor said we can wait until she returns......we seems to have digressed......time for a nap!  Sarge & Duggie
