Title: Momma's little helper
Post by: Dee Dee and Hallie on September 12, 2009, 02:24:22 PM
Hallie had a ball the last 2 days at the state fair. First day was the awards night, yesterday we sat all day at the fair and I painted...or was supposed to, too many people came up to pet Hallie and also she had planted her little bum right in the middle of the table and sat facing the people so she could be properly adored. She kissed so many people on the lips I expect them all to have a cold before long. She was soo good. Twice I had to put her in her stroller as much as she didn't want to because she couldn't keep her eyes open or her head up and both times as soon as I set her in there she was out. She'd take a good nap then back up to the table to get more pets. I sold several pieces of art too so Hallie didn't distract people too much from sales LOL. They even made her her own name tag and every time they announced over the loudspeaker that I was doing a painting demo the guy said "be sure to also visit Dee Dee's inspiration, Holly".  :thumb:

The painting I was working on was Dave and Dee's boyz!!! Lots of people said what handsome dogs they are and how much they look like their own doxies.

Are you sure the sign on your area should have read " Haillie Murry and her freind Dee Dee" I think if you had done some work you would have to have redone it with all the distractions, be it a rather gorgious one.

Those paintings are amazing!!!! We have a kind of arty one of a dashie that looks just like Fin. But those are just beautiful!!!

Hallie looks stunning as always! She looks like a little store clerk or something in the one where she is sitting up with the name tag. Way too cute.

Gorgeous pics of Hallie and you and your wonderful paintings.  How could anyone resist a smooch from Hallie looking so adorable.  She´s so well behaved too; Islay would sit there curled up and receiving fans too but Red would get restless after 10 minutes.  Thanks for sharing!

What fun Miss Hallie must of had there.  Your paintings look great, Dee Dee.  Sounds like you both had an eventfull time there.

As always, Princess Hallie looks incredibly cute.  And your work looks great too.  And, you, are you feeling better these days?  It takes a special personality to help out with the family business like Hallie is--what a good girl!  I'm not sure that Sophie would behave that well, (even though she is "Sophie the Good" now)  and I KNOW that Sam wouldn't!!  Hope that it was a productive day for the two of you!!

Actually, the title of this thread should be "the Queen awaits your presence"  She looks so regal in her bed on the table.  Just the right thing for receiving adoring subjects

I agree I think her tag should have read "Princess". (or "the Queen"). Thanks Deb I am feeilng quite a bit better for sure! Not as good as the first month but still no room for major complaints. It's just so nice to be able to eat again.
