Meet Kitty, the doxie mix. She was rescued after being tossed from a moving vehicle tied up inside a Dollar Store bag. As fate would have it, the couple following the callous excuse for humans that did this saw what happened and just happened to be the son (with his girlfriend) of the local Humane Society in "In the middle of nowhere Louisiana" They got her and put her on Petfinder, looking for a rescue or foster home. Gulf Coast Dachshund rescue stepped up and I was called to foster. She has heartworms, of course, and she had just had puppies, her mammaries were swollen with milk. There was never any sign of what happened to the puppies, but if they could do what they did to her, you can assume the worst for the babies.

She was fixed today, and a mass was found on one of her teats, but there is a chance it will go away now that she is spayed.
I think what angers me the most is the senseless cruelty of it all. The neglect. Her situation was so preventable: a spay, a heartworm preventative, and the smallest amount of effort to take her to the pound or a Humane Society. The monsters who did this don't deserve to ever have a dog as loving and forgiving as Kitty is. In my book, they don't deserve much of anything.
Poor, poor baby. No words can describe what I would do to those "people" if I found them. Bless you for taking this pretty soul into your home. She looks a little like a dachsie/brindle boxer mix. Hope her lump goes away and she has the long, healthy happy life she now deserves.
I tend to think there's a special place in he11 for people that abuse children and animals.
YOu have to have a mental imalance to be able to treat anything like that. Makes me so sick. Its too bad they didnt get the license plate number.

That is absolutely horrifying! I can't imagine how scared Kitty must have been. That is just disgusting!
Kitty is so beautiful. She reminds me of a smaller version of my Hemi. He is also brindle. Hemi would certainly advocate us adopting Kitty to be his girlfriend.

Ugh to these heartless pieces of TRASH. What a beauty Kitty is. With attention and love, someone's going to have a great little friend. Thank YOU for taking her in.
