Title: Dog helmets
Post by: Bratpak and Lauri on September 03, 2009, 06:23:58 AM
Does anyone know where I can find a decent dog motocycle helmet.....

My google search resulted in many findings, but all are made of hardened plastic and that is a definite NO for my boyzzz....

Hi Lauri

A Belgian friend we know over here has a special container mounted pillion at the back - like a luggage box - but with a vented,  transparent, unbreakable top, padded sides and bottom and seatbelt/padded harness for his Jack Russell.  It´s amazing because Oscar can see out and breathe the air but gets no wind in his eyes and is perfectly safe strapped in there.  I have a feeling he made it himself but next time he´s back in Spain I´ll ask him for you.

Sounds like they´re i for an exciting trip or two!

Hi Lauri

I´m afraid Josef is back in Belgium now and I don´t have his number there.  He´s not picking up his Spanish mobile and probably has not taken it with him.  I found this website with all sorts of helpful stuff, although the only helmets were these:http://handicappedpets.com/www/index.php/dog-helmets-for-safety.html

When Josef and his Kack Russell, Oscar, get back over here, I´ll try and get a piccie for you.
