Nick only works 2 days a week, on those days I get up make him breakfast followed by the "kids" Well this morning I had just poured the boiling water into the teapot ( I use a bocumstainless steel colombo coffee pot), but when I place it on the stove top it tipped, filled the whole top of the burners cavity flowed over the top down into the below bench oven. Now the oven door is glass and hollow is it flowed through there some went into the oven, the rest about a litre all up ended up all through the antiskid matting.
If your place is like mine, when something hits the floor...........................the earley clean up system arrives, I dumped two towels on top of the floor an told them to stay as I was not sure how hot the water was.
THEN mys wee sister turned up from down the hill, could she "borrow' some dish detergent she had ran out, as she had fish the night before and wanted to soak the pots. Well for the past few days I've walked her back to her fence line with OLiver, so he was giving me the body wiggle of "am a goin fur a walk with da guys, say yes mum pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaase" so of we trotted when he came back he was wet to the oxters I managed to get to the laundry door before he got to the rest of the house. I left him in the laundry to "dry" off, and he started to howl, so I baracaded the hall so he could see me while I continued cleaning the mess, that was when I realised how much mud was on him, so he ended up with a half bath and I had all the floors to wash.
It tipped at 645 am it took till 11am to clean up and wash all the towls etc.....................so please let the afternoon be clean and quiet.
Roberta
Sounds like something that would happen to me. Just AFTER Miguel has gone out so can“t help....What a frustrating way to start the morning.
Reckon you deserve a lazy afternoon with a good big glass of wine, great book and snuggly dachsies alongside to compensate.
Bad Things happen in threes! Or fours... or tens...
Sorry for the mess some days it does not pay to get out of bed that is for sure hope things get better for you & fur kids. Papbouv
Ditto what Papbouv said. Hope you had a better day today!
I'm sorry Roberta....but I can't stop chuckling. You have painted a great picture! I'm sure we have all been there I know I have (so I hope that gives me a right to chuckle?)
