I was doing my firstest day back on neighborhood patwol, yestaday.... My mama was holding my leash (jus' as backup! I'm a tough powice officer....I don't need pwotection) . When all of a sudden I saw dis fing!! It was big and scawy wooking. I alerted my mama to da danger and told her to, "Stay back!". Den, I fought i saw da fing move. I raised up da hair along my spine and neck (I call dis my "Ridgeback look") and I growled at da fng. Den I cautiously proceeded towards da fing. My mama kept asking me, "what's wrong Porky? What do you see?!" (hoomans!!)
I inched cwoser and cwoser. Den my mama starts laughing and sez, "You silly, its the fire hydrant! It can't hurt you!" Den she reached out and touched da fing. I swear I saw it move and try to bite her, so I growled and barked and kept my hair raised. Den mama patted it again and told me to give it a sniff. I started to sniff it, when it moved again!!! I jumped back. Then, mama said to twy again. I sniffed it some more and nofing happened. :dontknow:
I have sent dis information to da Chief Bandit. He has asked me to alert all da puppers to da possible dangers of dis "silent warrior". Its actions are unknown and it is unknown if da pulbic is at risk from such a scawy looking object. Bandit sez peeing on dem makes em blind so dey can't chase you!! Be careful out dere fwiends!!!

Porky Pie
I have never laughed so hard in my life. I have no idea why Porky is suddenly afraid of the fire hydrant, that he's seen for months, across the street. He is really on edge everytime we go outside now. :2funny: He always looks at it and gives a little growl. If we happen to walk by it, he will start running and then turn around to make sure it isn't chasing him. He has never been afraid of it before?? It's so bizarre.
I love the Ridgeback look. Both of our dachsies and our basenji get their ridges up when they are scared or especially bothered by things on walks. Sammy and Oscar put their ridges up while barking at people minding their business in their own yards. Apparently we own every home that we walk by.
Hey Porky, dis is Bella Sanders (the curvy one). I'm with YOU little guy! My mama has not only been strarvin me but she is taking me on da EXTRA morning walkie. During dis walk I have encountered several of dem SCARY things. Dey even look WORSE before it's daylight (the inhuman hour dat mama takes me fer dat extra walkie). Not only do dey LOOK scary but dey smell like other puppers and I do not like that. I'll try the pee thing though... I am pretty good at that! Thanks for da words of advice Porky.
Porky - dem fings are for peeing on. I loves to pee on dem. I even wift my leg if dere are odder dogs watchin.  Parker
Ollie here. Uh, dunt know how to wift my leg. If i culd see it dun, i'm shur i kin lern. I havnt seen any of them kinda buggers, but I'll keep me eye's peeled. I live in de cuntry. If I do see one, i'll be shur to bark at it.
Thank you for the warning Porky....we will definitely keep on the lookout for those shifty things and pee on that at will :thumb:
Dearest funny Porky....um, we're laughing WITH you, not AT you. Um, didn't you know that those fire hydrant things are really doggy newspaper racks? You smell them and get all the neighborhood doggy news. You know, Rover was here and Spot left a note and Missy met Mister there. It's where ya get all the news......get it? So the next time, don't be scared, enjoy the news!

Oh Porky. Don't worry about that thing it won't come after you. It's just a communication device so you can read other dogs pee-mail. So you see it's really quite docile! It's a very naughty hydrant to scare da pee outta you tho! I think you should give it a nip next time to be sure it toes the line.
Maybe his eyes are still a little blurry? Thats hillarious though.
Fin Says: I neber saw one of does.. But i ALWAYS pee pee wif my leg up now so i coulds spray its good for you ifn i was dere.
