Title: Regis is 13 today and is at the vet
Post by: Kathy on October 26, 2005, 11:27:45 AM
This morning when I got up I noticed that Regis was limping.  Not to long after that he started crying and his breathing was not normal.  So I took him to the vet this morning.  I am still waiting to here what is going on.  Please send rays. What a way to spend his birthday.

Oh no - sending rays and prayers that they find out what is hurting him.   You can make it up to him when he gets home.  Please let us know -

Happy Barkday to Regis!  What a way to spend your barkday.  I hope Regis will be feeling better soon.  Lots of rays going out to him from the Texas Gang.  Maybe your mom will give you lots of kisses and belly rubs and special treats today.

The vet took x-rays and didn't find anything wrong so she thinks that it is a deep tissue issue.  But when they examined him they found that his gums where infected, he has a slightly enlarged heart, and a heart murmur.  He has some pain medication for his limp and medicine for his infected gums.  She told me that he needs a dental again.  I was shocked by that because he just had a dental 4 months ago. Thanks for the rays.  I now have to go feed him his steak for his birthday  dinner.
