Winston is very content to lay in the recliner with his daddy every night covered up by a blankie. Actually it has been very easy to monitor his activities since this last back episode. All he wants to do is be with his daddy on the recliner. It is their nightly ritual.....he is a "daddys boy"....Zoe on the other hand is a "mommas girl"...she is content to lay next to me in our loveseat every night. So, I thought it would be kinda cool to take an official survery on all our babies. Who out there is a "daddys boy/girl" and who out there is a "mommas boy/girl". I have one of each....what does everyone else have??
Sarge and Duggie are very definitely Mommy's boys' as was Looie-Angel.
Hugo is a momma's boy, follows me around, sleeps with his head on me at night, cries when I am in bathroom alone. Otto could take it or leave it, he has his moments but not like my little guy hugo....
Cale seems to win over the boys at our house without trying. Cyrus, Sammy, and Oscar just love their dad. They love me too, but dad is the best. I am always the one fighting to adopt these boys, then they turn on me like snakes! Hemi, however, lived with me before Cale and I moved in together, so he is a very devoted mum's boy. Our sweet senior was a big daddy's boy when he was with us, but I think it is because his previous owner was a man. Maybe Cale is just more charming than I am!
Both of our girls do love their mommy. Mark calls me the Pipe Piper because they follow me everywhere.......and I mean EVERYWHERE! When we're on the couch though, usually it pans out that I have Bonnie scrunched against my side, as she still is not comfortable with a total lap experience, and Maddie is usually on her papa's lap. We always say...."You've got your dog and I've got mine."
Zora is definitely a momma's girl. Zeke is a Daddy's boy.
Rudy-angel was a fanatical Daddy's boy. He was a very "one owner" dog. There were only three people in this world that he showed true devotion to: myself, my father (who does not like dogs, but somehow Rudy connected the dots and figured out that I was my Dad's "puppy", therefore he must be loyal to my Dad, too) and Jessica. Sadly, his time with Jessica was very limited.
Max-angel was neither a momma's boy or a daddy's girl. Wherever there was an open lap, that was his favorite person. I swayed Rusty-angel, who was originally Margie's before she met me, into a Daddy's boy. Scallyway-angel was always a Daddy's girl.
Fin is a mommas boy all the way. He loves his daddy but he follows me everywhere in the house.
He even lays on the bathroom floor while i get ready in the morning, even though Dad is still in the nice warm bed.
My pair well, both are clingons to their mum. Both follow me like a shadow everywhere, I often say I could hang my self and the pair would be attached to my legs.
Funnily Angel Emma was a mums girl, but Nick was the one who adored her ( I loved her but she was his) while Angus I adored chose Nick to be besotted with and Ingrid was just an Oliver groupie.
Roberta
Hilde doesn't have a choice. It's mama or nothing! HA!!!!! :2funny:
Darcel
Well since its just me Danni has no choice, but when my cousins were over Sunday to help me with yard work mom was forgotten, though Danni was only near them for a few minutes.
And we have discovered squirrels.
Penny is a Daddy's Girl all they way!!! I am definitely second fiddle around this place...pack order...Drew, Penny, Mom, Mr. Tucker!
Both my males, adoptee and my foster are stuck to me like glue.
Ms. Lucy on the other hand hangs out with my girlfriend, I call them the estrogene sisters.
Porky is a mama's boy. He follows me everywhere I go. He loves his daddy a lot too and often waits by the door when its time for him to come home from work.
Mine are all momma's babies, but Millie (actually all of them) absolutely adores my mom. She spoils them shamelessly and they know a good thing when they have it :thumb:
Patches likes us mom & dad equally BUT if mom wants to brush her she runs and hops in daddy's lap.She also thinks she can get extra grub from daddy so I watch both of them like a hawk.
Buddy just wants to be petted 24/7 he does not care who pets him.
Papbouv
Tricky one. Islay is definitely a Mummy´s girl and Red generally a Daddy´s boy, EXCEPT when he´s poorly when he become Mummy´s boy immediately and sticks to me like glue. Islay is always with me and never lets me out of her sight. The trick to get her to walk in noisy, busy places (she hates traffic, noise, crowds - just like I do) is for me to walk in front with Red and Miguel to follow with Islay who then pulls to catch up with me! That said, we do all we can to avoid taking her into crowds and noise anyway. Red is a crowd-pleaser and loves to be admired, petted and take command of any scene.
Schatzi is a mama's girl, but daddy is a real close second. During football and basketball season, which lasts forever around our house, she can spend lots of time with her daddy on the sofa cuddling since it is a warm buddy to snuggle up to. When Meg is home, she often will find her if she is reading a book and looking lonely. If I walk in the room, however, she is usually mine. I often say she belongs to whoever has the warm bed in the morning or food! Kendall-angel was definitely mine. She would snuggle with Randy, and loved both he and Meghan, but I was the one she wanted when I was in the house.
Molly is Randy's all the way. Meg is second and I'm third-unless I am going to brush her (which she loves) or feed her. He has always been her favorite and the fosters we got her from said that her previous owner was a female and had gotten abusive with her. They had gotten her past that, but I often think that is why she still isn't crazy about me. She does love Meg, however. Something about her voice gets Molly in the most playful, happy mood!
Buelah is a HUGE mama's girl
Oscy is a DADDY's boy... unless mama isn't feeling well in which case he seems to want to protect and cuddle with me.
Beatrice is a mama AND Daddys girl...probably more so mama most of the time.
Bella (the curvy one) simply adores being with anyone who happens to have food. She is SUCH a snuggle bug.
As some of you know we have 5 at my house so I will try to figure out which is Mommy's boy/girl!
Fritz: Momma Heathers boy (Heather is my sister)
Manny Gamma Sara's boy unless it's storming then he wants me!
Blusky is Momma Kelly's boy
Arnold is Daddy's boy (nephew Trevor)
Cinni is the only girl in the house and she's anybody's girl that is willing to give her attention
Here's the sleeping arrangements:
Fritz with Heather and Jason(brother in-law)
Manny with Gamma Sara and again unless it's storming
Blusky with me!
Arnold with Trevor
Cinni whoever she wants tooooooooooooooooooo!
LOL! Mine have no choice - they are all mama's girl or mama's boy!
The gang here: Personally, we wish to call this poll: dachsies' mama. Our mama got back from Missouri yesterday after being gone for 11 of the longest days we know, but last night, she slept on the floor with us, so we could snuggle better!
Frida angel was for sure a momma's girl...But sweet Ema has been rather equitable in splitting her time evenly between Jim and myself. She is an equal opportunity snuggler :)
Welcome back Julia!!!!
Mommy's boys and girls :thumb: Even when a daddy was here, they are all mine !!!
Willy and Alex are mama-boys. They watch my every move and wherever I park myself, they have to be there also.
When we had Misty, she was her papa's girl. As long as Dan was around, no one else existed, they had a very special relationship that made my heart happy to see. We sure do miss her.
Thank you everyone for answering the survey. It is quite interesting how our babies pick and choose us. I just wanted to add one thing....whenever Winston is sick, he turns into a big momma's boy!
At our house, each human is looked to for certain things. So, everyone has interaction with, and is loved by everyone. But, when it comes right down to it, Sophie is definitely "Momma's Girl" and Sam is "Dad's boy". Sophie and I have a kind of "girls club" and we both treasure that relationship with each other. Sophie knows that she is a priority for for me. :)
