Oh my...looks so swollen and it has little bumps around it....looks very painful Porky!!! Sure looks like allergies to me.....
Oh sweet Porky...I am so sorry that you have to put up with that...I hope you get extra eggies or cookies to help ease the discomfort. Extra rays are being sent your way for a super speedy recovery.
Oh wow that is awful poor sweet baby looks miserable! He's lucky to have a good mom to take care of him. I hope he gets better soon maybe if you question allergies you could take him to a dermatologist to be sure? I feel so bad for the both of you I hope he's a lot better soon, I can't see the second smaller photo of him well is his eye better or worse today?
Poor Porky pie! That made me so sad to see!
You look like you have pink eye!
:comfort:
Feel better soon!
poor baby
rays and prayers for ya buddy
Poor little Porkster! We send rays that your eye heals fast! It does look like a dermatology issue from the pic. Is the eye itself red/puffy, or just the skin around it? Either way, a speedy recovery to you, Porky Pie!

His eye is MUCH better today! I was afraid it was going to get worse this afternoon, but so far it has stayed down. :apls: As long as I keep his meds going round the clock, he seems to do okay. Porky has had a lot more sneezing today, but seems to be feeling better. He wants so badly to go outside and play. That is a good sign!!
Poor little dude! Sending virtual treats and belly rubs your way! He looks miserable!
Poor wee man you look as if you need a snuggle and kissies. Looks like a contact allergy, thank goodness the meds worked.

Poor porkie, sending more vibes and prayers for your fast healing...
Oh Porky, your eyes looks sooooo swollen, bumpy and sad. Could it be something in your carpet that he's rubbing his eyes on? Also, when you do his wash, or anything else he lies on, be sure to use a non-fragrance soap, like Cheer Clear. Pooooooor Porky baby.
Deary me, poor little Porkie Pie, I´m sorry we missed this earlier and pleased you´re feeling a little better. Thank goodness you have such a fantastic Mummy and Daddy and your nurses at the vets take good care of you too. Extra snuggly rays heading your way.
Oooo, porky. Dat looks like it hurt. You gotta milk this one for all it's worth. An member, the girls go crazy when day see macho battle wounds. Just don't tell em da truth. It sounds better if ya did it savin the foofoo girl from the big bad woof. (If you a girl, I'm sorry. Can't tell just by names these days.)
Since you are a fighter have your neighbor dude or your Momma could put a steak on your eye it that what they did in the olden days???I do not know it could be a toss up allergies or some kind of bite or sting.Does seem like it is hanging around a long time though. You might try what the Japanese do take you shoes off when you come in the house stands to reason if you are washing Porky's feet you might unknowingly track something in on your shoes? Just not sure what might help have you seen a dermatologist when, I had my little Papillion she had a bad skin problem the vets we were using did not know what was going on.I finely took her to a dermatologist they had me do a different treatment and it cleared up but it would come back off & on.More RAYS &HUGS to you all.Papbouv,Patches

Fanks for de ideas!!! My mama has always had da rule about removing shoes as soon as da hoomans get inside. She hasn't imposed it on guests, but she finks she's going to now. I don't fink we hab any dermologists for dogs in our area, but we will definately check!
P.S. Mama sez da apple cider vinegar workeded great on my allergies!! I hated da taste, but it did help!
Remember I told you about my granddog Diesel he is a Ole English Bulldog he had an ear infection then was rubbing his eye with his back feet. The ear infection got into his eye they have been treating it for a couple of months it seems to get better then flair up again . I think they have tried different antibiotics, drops & ointments?wonder if Porky has the same problem? More Rays & Hugs Papbouv,Patches,

That's interesting...I'll have to see if he gets it back in a month or two. If he does, I'll be sure and ask about it being a possible infection. Thanks for the info!!! :thumb:
How is Porky feeling now Amorette?
Thanks for asking about him Dee Dee! He is feeling great!!! :apls: He has been wanting to play, wanting to be naughty again, and his eyes have stayed clear for 4 whole days now. We have been blessed with some great rains since Sunday, so I think that is really helping him to feel better. Its washing away all the pollen out of the air. L
The vet said to keep Porky doped up on the benedryl every 8 hours. So far that's kept him relatively itch-free and feeling pretty good. He does start sneezing and itching right before its time for the next dose of benedryl, so I really have to watch and make sure he's not pawing at his eyes. Our biggest hurdle is still getting him to swallow the pill. We have tried the liquid and he just spits that all over; hiding it in his food doesn't work either because he sniffs it out. :doah: The only way I can get it in the little guy is to place in his throat, and hold his mouth closed till he swallows. I think we have his allergies under control now and we might be able to let him go to the groomer's again next week. We have a laundry list full of things they can and cannot do when they groom him now, so we'll see if they are willing to still groom him for us.
