Thank you so much to everyone for the kind thoughts and words shared with my husband and myself over the loss of our sweet Frida. We were completely devastated with her passing and reading your posts was quite cathartic. Thank you Dave and Dee for the beautiful poem with Frida's pictures. Your consideration in creating such a thoughtful keepsake of Frida for us was wonderful. Thank you Barb, Cheryl and Dee Dee for all of your kind words in the cards that you sent. Thank you again, from Jim and myself.
Jim and I share giggles about Frida everyday. I have an unlimited supply of happy Frida memories, before her health began to decline. Those fun memories made me realize even more how much of a great doxie personality she always had.
Our Cardigan Welsh Corgi Willy really fell into a funk. This was the first time in nine years that we had seen Willy out of sorts like this. He is a true working dog in mind and has never been tremendously affectionate. All of a sudden he would not leave our sides. He wanted to be on our laps on the couch and in between our pillows at night. He has almost never been without a little doxie, including our first, Jimmy and then Frida.
We knew he was going to need another cold nose around. We were not sure when we were going to be ready.
Then I got a text message from my best friend, who works with Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue.
You are so welcome. That is one thing I love about this board. It is such a wonderful place of comfort. so many of the people we encounter in our daily lives do not understand the love we have for our pets. Everyone on here does.
