Millie teamed up with Winston this morning. Winston flushed a rabbit, chased it around for a few minutes, and then Millie caught it by the throat and killed it very quickly with Winston holding onto it's leg. I thought my mom was going to puke She carried it around for a few minutes (amazing, since it was almost as big as her), very proud of herself, and then tried to figure out how to break the hide to eat it-I got a shovel and garbage bag and took it from her tho.
I felt bad for the rabbit, but it was amazing to watch how quickly the instincts can kick in. Millie never struck me as much of a hunter, but she knew just what to do.

MY FOUR BUNNIES ARE COWERING IN THE CORNER! All thie time they thought Winston and Millie were such nice puppers! Now they see them for what they really are - KILLING MACHINES!!!
Lily says way to go Millie! Lily is my huntress and would love to get her teeth on a bunny, squirrel or anything.
Finnegan is afraid of most things that move quickly.. Lets hope the same goes for the bunnies.
We saw one once and he barked at it.. from behind me.. But even i have to admit he was HUGE.

Millie, mild-mannered gentle dachshund sees bunny and turns into SUPER KILLER! Those instincts will get'em every time. :crazyeyes:
