Title: Update on the JarretEmily situation
Post by: Barb on October 25, 2005, 01:01:26 PM
I have contacted Emily by e-mail.  Please understand that in no way shape or form do I agree with what she posted.  I just want these 2 furkids to find a home and to have a chance.  If being a go-between will help, that is what I will do.   I believe that she has already communicated with Terri and I forwarded Eric's e-mail address to her too.   I know that we all hope that these babies can be removed from this situation and quickly.  I am not sure where they are located in Florida - if she posted that, I missed it - Terri?   I pray that something can happen quickly - and I know Mack's organization in Florida has to be swamped with puppers needing placement.  What a situation - but 2 loving, giving people have made an offer to help....another sign of the special people that frequent this board. The best...the very best....

Thanks, Barb for helping to facilitate this.  You are right, those pups need a new home and the sooner the better.  Kudos to Terri and Eric for offering to take them in.   :headbang:

If you find out where they are located I have a cousin at Eglin AFB. They are doxie people I can contact for help if needed. They might even be needing a couple more:)

Okay all, here is the latest.  Emily has been in contact with both Eric and myself.  I have just sent her an email assuring her that we will do whatever is possible to insure that they are 1) kept together (she requested that) and 2) that Jarrett receives pictures of them from time to time.  I've spoken with Julie and we are going to work together on this one.

As you all know, Eric has offered to go and pick them up...although I'm still not sure where that is.  I am certainly willing to do the same.  I'm not really sure how this is going to work out right now but I am sure that we are going to do whatever we can do.  We still have not heard anything from Mack, but I'm not really surprised. I'm sure it's a mess over there.  Between all of us I am sure we can manage to find a really good home for these two babies.

Emily, if you and Jarrett are reading this, please know that you are doing the right thing for Koby and Tiff.

I'll keep everyone informed as things progress.....Thanks!

Bless all of you who have helped or offered to help.... From the pic she posted, those are beautiful baby-dogs who deserve all the love they can get.   If Montana were just a little closer to Talahassee, I'd take them myself!

I didn't know it was possible to look at a doxie and NOT fall madly in love.... that's just wrong.

THANK YOU everyone who is helping these two puppers.  I believe that when they are in a safer, more loving and caring environmet they will change.  I agree with all of you that Emily is selfish and only is thinking of herself, but I was too upset to say anything for fear of going over the edge.

Now this may sound silly but one thing did come to mind as I read all the offers of help - "it takes a village"  Here we are a group of people who met in cyberspace and we have come together so often to help "our family" in time of need.  We all reach out to help and because of this two little guys will have a new life.  I am proud to know all of you.

Just another update:  Eric talked to Jarrett tonight and they will be driving Koby and Tiff down to us on Sunday.  I think it will be an emotional day for Jarrett.  He really does love those dogs.  Now if everyone can send us rays that it is a smooth transition for all of us.  We are very excited about this and are looking forward to meeting the pups.

Well when you meet Jarret and he's interested in a real woman let me know and I will introduce him to my daughter and her two doxies. She's a college student who's getting her master in Psychology and Counseling and we have replaced four rugs in her living room. Do we care NO! The babies are what's important.

You guys are the greatest, thanks for helping and I to will help financially if needed. buttercup64836@yahoo.com

Thanks to everyone who stepped up to th e plate, in true doxie-lover fashion, to help Koby and Tiff.  Am I surprised?  Not in the least, its just what people who love animals do.

I can't believe Jarrett is giving them up - by the pictures they're beautiful! :walk2:  They (and he) just need a little TLC and training.  From the sounds of things, they all have been abused. :hm:

Am so glad too to see this getting resolved.  Kudos to Eric & Julie for doubling their tribe.  :urock:  Would also be happy to help out with $$$'s.  Please keep us posted on what you need.

Thank goodness this has all come to a head and the dogs can now have a chance for a loving home. I've worried about these two from the first time we heard about them. They sure do look like "monsters" in the photo don't they?  :idiot:  I'll bite my tongue rather than repeat what has already been aptly said about this situation, many blessings to those who are helping!!! I can't wait to hear how these guys bloom and reports on how wonderful they really are.

Doxie Lovers Unite!  Thank you Julie and Eric for taking in Koby and Tiff and providing them a safe haven away from harm! And, Terri for also volunteering to help with the rescue.  As I read the first post, it made me sick to my stomach and my heart ache -- knowing what I wanted to say, I didn't dare.

You are Koby and Tiff's guardian angels -- for that, thank you!  Please know that if help is needed for any extras for the puppers, we're willing to help.   Dee, Dave, Sargey & Looie
