Well, Sammy had a great time at his first 4th of July picnic. Here's what Sammy has to say:
My 4th of July was the best ever! I got to eat some cheeseburger and some other tastey morsels that I convinced family members to give me. Deeeelicious! Everyone petted me, and I even let a little girl pet my head and back. I was feeling generous because of the cheeseburger. When it got dark, I toasted in front of a bonfire. Please, no weiner roasting jokes. My day out really pooped me out, though. I fell asleep as soon as we got in the car. Good thing Mum knew how to get home without me navigating. Mum says I was a perfect gentlemen, and Grandma and Grandpa were really happy to see me because their pug just passed away on Fathers Day. The only bad part - large booms with flashing lights. No one else seemed to sense the danger, but I did. I hid in the garage with Mum until it stopped. All in all, a great day! Mum is going to post some pictures of me, Sammy. The first one is me waiting for the food. Second is me getting some food. Third is me walking around the yard digesting the food. Last is me hugging with my Mum. Like my bandana?
Lucky Sammy is going to a dachshund picnic in Kent this weekend. We have never been to one, but it sounded like Parker had such a good time that we decided to try one out.
Sam you are SO handsome in your bandana!! Such a big, beautiful boy!
Sammy Bear (aka Joe Cool) looks great. I remember picking him up from my DRNA coach, scared to death and looking much like an ethiopian famine victim, skin and bones with bad skin loosing fur with winter coming on...
I'm so glad he's got a good home and that your so good to him.
