Title: Hallie's Bluebird Friend
Post by: Dee Dee and Hallie on June 18, 2009, 10:05:54 PM
Hallie seems to have a new bluebird friend. Whenever she goes outside, he flies over and follows where she goes, flying from fence to rooftop to tree branch...and squawks at her the whole time. She usually just ignores him and goes about her business but the other day she came flying around the side of the house with a big grin on her face with the bluebird flying right on her heels. (one reason I don't have two dogs is I dont want her to run and play and hurt herself but I can't control what comes down from the sky!!) He will land and do a weird dance for her sometimes trying to get her attention, and she will ignore him a bit then if he keeps it up she will run at him but you can tell it's play she doesn't go that fast.

One day he was following her as she was walking from the yard up her ramp to the house and he flew right down onto the railing of the ramp and tried to go inside the house with her. (she went thru a doggie door though). I wish I had gotten that one on video.

I don't know what his intentions are but I told her maybe he wants to line his nest with her.

I got a little of them here is one of him doing his goofy dance.

Here is some more of him trying to get her attention, while she is playing hard to get

Hmmm... Bluebirds must love the doxies.  We have two here that have nested right by our stairs and they follow Porky everywhere too.  Including into our apartment if we're not fast enough coming in.   :doah:   Thos are cute videos!!!

That's hilarious. The bird acts so proud once he gets Hallie to chase him.

Hallie seems really nonplussed by the bluebird.   Not sure what the bluebird is thinking.

There is a simple explanation here. Hallie is a princess. Cinderella is a princess. Remember in the movie? The bluebirds were always around Cinderella. They even helped her put on her gown for the ball. Makes a lot of sense that Hallie would have her own bluebird!

We think that the blue bird has a crush and is in love with Princess Hallie!   Who isn't in love with Hallie!   Your smitten friends from the east side of the state.......Sarge  (the Handsome Senior One) & Duggie (the I gotta guard the house and bark at everything One)

Hallie was really so adorable and probably the bird likes her and love to see her hair flying in the air.  :thumb: Great friendship.  :hello2:

So sweet!! I laughed when i saw her inside out ear, Finnegans ALWAYS does that, same side and everything.

And i agree with the birds/princess story!

Just be worried if Hallie comes in with a dress on.

(And tell her not to eat any apples)
