I know I am about 5 months behind on this, but did anyone else see Marley and Me? It was in theaters around Christmas, but I just rented it last night. For anyone who loves dogs, Marley and Me is a great portrayal of how a dog can be such an important part of a family. Even though I knew what was coming because I read the book, I must admit that I was crying pretty hard at the end. If anyone hasn't seen this movie, I would highly recommend it. However, watch it in the privacy of your own home with your dogs and tissues, so you can cry as much as you want.
Yes we bought it and watched the other week. I liked it but I thought the book was better, and we piked out (did not watch the end) at the end, I know he had a marvelous life etc but I hate sad endings. Did they end it like the book with them looking at the ad for another.

I rented it this past week end !!! I too had read the book, and knew how it ended- but still boo hoo'd my heart out.
Yes we saw the movie. My hubby had been wanting to see it and we had his brother and family over for the day and dinner and then we sat down and watched it and it was good at first funny and all. Then the end came oh my goodness did the tears fall and fall bad. Me and my sister-in-law were crying so hard and the brothers were just sitting there laughing at us. Come to find out after they left my hubby said he was holding back the tears but wanted to cry. lol lol it was a good movie but very sad. He said if he knew it was going to end like that he would have never rented it. I have very very very soft hearted espcially when it comes to pets.

I haven't seen it YET!! I did borrow it from the in-laws, but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I read the book so I was hoping they did a good job on it.
I am such an ole softie....I found out how it ended and haven't had the heart to watch it!!
With all comments and from my friend's comments it is a good movie. We're going to watch it this weekend. My dad likes Owen.
I know how it ends and can't watch it. I am so weird that I can watch movies that have people dying and it doesn't have that affect on me, but let an animal, especially a dog die and that is it....one blubbering idiot!

Wellll....I watched most of it. Up until the part where the son was like "Daddy, what's wrong with Marley?" and then I immediately turned it off. I knew what was coming and as far as I was concerned, the movie was over. Now, in my mind THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER. :wink:
