Baby F #2 is here. She came 3 weeks early, and at home, but everyone is healthy and happy. Colleen Anne was born on June 1 at 3:15 am. Morgan was very excited and involved with the afterwards. (She was in the car ready to go to the hospital when baby as born.) She was right in the middle of everything asking questions about the umbilical cord and placenta. You'd have thought she was a midwife in training! I answered what I could and let the midwife answer the rest so it was cool. The two furgirls had to stay in the kitchen until around lunchtime and didn't get to meet Colleen until that evening. They loved on her and licked her feet. Cajsa has taken over the washing duties of the momma and Gretchen has taken over the laying with baby duties of momma. It's really quite cute.
How exciting!!! Congratulations on your new little girl. Were you planning to have her at home the whole time or did she take you by surprise? Since you had the midwife there, I'm thinking you may have, but the part about Morgan being in the car had me wondering. Can't wait to see pictures of the new family member.
Congratulations April! How exciting, doesn´t sound like you had much time to adjust to her premature arrival and it´s great to know you´re all fine. Very pretty name too. It doesn´t seem five minutes since we were all waiting for Elf to arrive....
Congratulations on your new addition to your family. Sounds like everyone is adjusting well to the new baby. Congrats again!!!

Congratulations!!! I can't wait to see some pictures of your new little cutie. I'm glad everything went fine even though she was early. Morgan sounds like a great big sister. I love how the puppers are pitching in and helping mother Colleen. By the way, I LOVE her name!

Congratulations April! Glad Morgan is helping with the baby and glad the furkids are accepting her too.
Yep. I had her at home although we hadn't planned to do that. Morgan was born without medication in the hospital so I'd had a 'natural' birth before. This one was very intense because it was the same amount of work in 2 hours instead of 17! Because it was only 2 hours from the first contraction until she was born we didn't have time to get the person for Elf and get me to the hospital. It was unplanned but we called a midwife friend who got there just a few minutes after so it was good. The lady who was going to help with Elf had worked labor and delivery, assisted with home births (with a midwife) and currently works as a birth doula (in addition to studying to be a midwife so she was a pretty good person to have around for the situation.
