A vent I guess hubby watched car races all day then went out and grilled our dinner came in sat down was not eating after asking him 3 times what the problem was. I finely get I'm dizzy??? wanted to get up & go to the bathroom I say wait and I will go with you to steady you nope.He gets a few steps starts shaking and down he goes the man is 6'2" weighs 280# I tell him to stay down I'm on the phone to 911 he saying does not need any 911 I say too bad they are on the way.He does get up & is sitting in his chair when they come in I notice he keeps rubbing his hands like they are asleep? They do a EKG find a Bundle Branch Block right side they want to take him to the hospital no,no,no,no is what he tells them he has to talk to their supervisor. He signs the refusal paper going against medical advice. They leave so I go call my sister & my son but I go check on him every once in awhile. Then an hour later he wants to go to the hospital??? Not knowing how long we will be gone I put Patches outside with Buddy she was in her crate all the time the ambulance persons were here growling at them something she never does??? Back to hubby I take him to the hospital they keep him his major complaint is Sever shooting pulsating pains in both middle fingers???? They give him Morphine his pain goes away for about 20 minutes but his BP drops give him an IV to get his pressure back up ? still complaining of pains in his two middle fingers.????
Now in the am get to go tell his 80 year old mother should be interesting, she was to come to dinner today he was going to cook again out on the grill & mow our very large back yard. Our son will come mow I hope until we can find out what is going on with hubby told our son he should not mow.
Sorry this is so long.

More rays and prayers on their way to you and hubby....praying they find out what is wrong very soon and he will feel much much better
How scary!! I hope they can find out what is going on soon. Men can be so stubborn sometimes. Have they checked for blood clots or anything like that? That's the only thing I could think of.
Sound typical...Dr's not knowing. It is so frustrating to not get a diagnosis. I am praying too you will get answers soon and he can get some relief betweent he two of you you must feel like you've been ran over by a mack truck.
This morning the doctor called me at home they had done a more intense study of his carotid artery's guess what the found he has a fracture at his C4-5 vertebrae. They took him for a MRI said he would not fit in the machine??? he is 6'2" weighs 260# so he really not that big the true story came out later it was hurting his neck he got scared and told them to quit so they did.In the morning they will get him good and drugged up and do it talking about surgery he is scared to death. My MIL is driving us both crazy she sits in his room and stays for hours & hours talking all the while. He asked her to go home she acts like she does not hear him. I hate to get nasty with her but I may have to she will be 80 in Febuary and he is her only son.Papbouv

When my neck was broken in a car accident (C-6/C-7) the thing that hurt the most for the first few days was my right arm .... go figure.
Well,I'm glad they finally figured out what it was. Thanks for keeping us posted on how he is doing. Those MRI's freak me out too. They make really loud, weird noises and it hurts to lay like that for so long if you are in pain. I'm hoping that he won't need surgery. We're praying for him here in Nebraska!
Papbouv I am so sorry about all the fear and frustration you and your husband have had to go through so far. Here's hoping that now since they know what is wrong it will be able to be fixed and your husband can begin his recovery as soon as possible!
So glad they found out what is wrong!!! Prayers to you and hubby still coming!!! Praying the surgery will go very very well!!
Sorry to hear about your hubby but glad they found out what was wrong. Sending prayers and good thoughts and hope he gets better real fast.
hugs and love laura and Romeo

Glad to hear they have found something, I know its probably a break, but it is better knowing , it did sounded nervey. I have degenerated neck discs from just below the skull to mid shoulder blades and I get that numby tingling feeling, usually when I've done to much ie stitching or quilting. He will improve, as for his mother, I have one of those to, Nick's an only child and his mum is 85 and once they get latched onto something they don't let go, and its not worth while getting antsy as they don't listern.
keeping you in our thoughts, maybe you can get the hospital staff to say no visitors for X time.
Roberta
