if you have some to spare. I am to be at the courthouse at 8:30 in the morning for my annulment hearing, and naturally, that means a substitute teacher for my kiddos. I have a friend who is driving me and staying with me however long it'll be, so I don't have to worry about parking, and since he is over 6'3", and is a big man, his wife offered him as my bodyguard - just in case. This is supposed to be cut-and-dried, so I am asking for "smoothness rays for my sub, and for the court proceedings"! Thank you!
Rays coming your way. call me when you get back home, I'll be here all afternoon.
Sending rays for a smooth end to your ordeal.
Rays to you hope all goes well for you and it will stay over.
Smoothing rays heading your way and your sub´s too. Great you have a beefy bodyguard, but hope it´s not necessary and you get everything finalized at last.
We're sending rays your way for "smooth sailing" through your court proceedings this morning and also to the sub teacher.
Rays heading your way Julia for smooth sailing this morning for both you and your sub
Smoooooooth rays all the way to wash this Doofus right out of your life. Hang tight, girlfriend.
Rays headed your way! I hope all goes well!

At about 9:20 local time, the judge declared the marriage to be nullified, restored my maiden name, took over my house deed, and authorized its return to me. I went to the recorder's office, got an official copy of the deed as it is, and dropped it off at my lawyer's office so they can have the court nullify the current deed so I can refile it in my name. This should take 7 - 10 days, and then I can change my name everywhere - social security, bank, DMV, etc. - whew! Thank you, everyone, for all the rays, prayers, and positive thoughts!
Oh, and I almost forgot - my "bodyguard" is a clinical psychologist, and was ready to testify, if needed, because he and his wife supervised the move-out last April!
Thank goodness, now the first baby steps to the next part of your now wonderful life. That was a lovey thing for your frends to do, thats what true freinds do. Now get out and dance like you've never danced before girlie you have the world at your feet.................go cuddle a dachshound

You've come full circle and I am so glad this is over for you. Yikes! How did the sub do with your kids?
Aww, thanks, everyone! The sub was wonderful - while it is true that they didn't get through all I had set out to do, they made me a booklet with a fancy cover, called, "Why I Appreciate My Teacher" - yesterday was the teacher appreciation day at school. I was so moved, because I haven't had a little booklet like that since I did my student teaching back in the Dark Ages - fall of 1972! She left me great notes, and carried out my basic discipline, so I felt like things really did go smoothly.
That's great I'm glad things went well in your classroom while you were going through this. Things are turnin' around for you!!! :thumb: That was really sweet of the kids to make you the booklet but I'm not surprised I can imagine you are a wonderful teacher.
Congratulations and every good wish for the future. BTW, we ALL know you´re wonderful, but it´s great your class do too!
