This winter was really hard on all of my outside plants.....Of the 20 rose bushes we have had bloom for the past 10 years, only four survived the winter. Of all my tulips, only a handful survived. Many of the other perennials planted also did not make it. My five lavender plants did survive. So, looks like I will be redoing my flower gardens from the beginning stages. The hu-kids came over yesterday and dug up the dead rose bushes which was sad to see them all go. The lawn is even slow in coming back to the world of spring. A hard winter, it was...not only for humans and furkids but all my flowers.....Here are a few pictures of the two of the tulips that survived.....

I'll be spending some time outside........bringing my yard back to life.

Beautiful pictures! We have some dark red tulips opening up! Last year after my Dad passed away I dug up a couple of small bushes and I wasn't to sure how they'd do and now they have leaves on them and a bush I bought at a store called Shopko that I thought died has all kinds of leaves on it as well as a snowball bush I've transplanted several times!
Gorgeous pictures! I am sorry to hear you lost a lot of your plants/bushes. But just think...It is so much fun planting new ones and is so relaxing!!! You will feel so good when you finish and everything looks so beautiful :thumb:
Are we the only ones that still have snow??? lol There is still a good amount of snow in the mountains here, it has all melted in town because of all the rain we've had... But, we have still been getting snow here & there.. I don't dare plant flowers yet.. I am afraid they would definately freeze... Can somebody send some sunshie to Idaho for us?? Please?? :BangHead:
