Hallie could use some rays too, I had seen some slight signs lately I was hoping were not what I thought but today she made it obvious she is having her back problems again. She is in a crate here watching me forlornly. I don't know how we all get thru this with our kids it's so heartbreaking (and terrifying!).
Oh Dee Dee, I´m so sorry to hear this. I hope it´s just a change-in-season blip and a bit of rest will settle it on its own. I know how worried you must be, but Miss Hallie has a superMum and detecting her discomfort so quickly is surely a big step in the right direction. Try not to worry yourself down too much and keep us informed of how your little princess is doing.
Lots of very warm Spanish rays heading out your way, for both of you.
Oh no! Conrad and I are sending comfy back thoughts to Hallie.
Oh no!!! Just can't be!!! I too hope this just might be a change of season glitch....many, many prayers and rays on their way to Hallie and Dee Dee :comfort:  :comfort:  Sure hope she feels better soon!!
Rays are being sent your way! I hope it isn't anything serious!
Rays from the east side of the state are heading to the west side for Hallie ...... and mom!
Rays from Nebraska! I hope the crate rest is all she'll need.
You don't know how sorry I am to hear this. But, as others have said, you catch it early, being the good mom that you are, and that is so important. Rays definitely coming your way. Try to stay as calm as you can (I know it's easier said than done) and I'm sure she'll be fine. Dang that back thing in this wonderful breed!
Sending mega rays Hallie's way!
Oh no! Hope it's just a little stiffness. Rays to Hallie Berry Butt!
We're so sorry that Hallie has to go through this again. Her sis sends lots of rays as do Sam and their hoomans. Keep us posted.
Hi DeeDee, how is are you both doing today? Hope Hallie is feeling easier and you too.
She seems comfortable I don't think I'll give her a tramadol today since it isn't an anti-inflammatory anyway. My brother stopped yesterday and I was holding her and she didn't even wag her tail at him she normally goes nuts so that concerns me but she seems normal at other times (as much as you can tell when confining them).
I'll just be sitting here with my eyes big as saucers, not blinking, staring at her for the next couple of weeks with a slight twitch in my left eye now and then!!
Glad to hear she seems comfortable, though I know you´re worrying anyway. Sometimes - many times - they´re actually wiser than we are and maybe that´s it now, she´s just conserving her energy to recover quickly. Hope so!
Red says his twitchy ear was the first sign of his ear infection, watch that eye of yours....he recommends a loooooooong siesta for you both, well snuggled, of course.
Hilde and I are sending Miss Hallie some speedy recovery rays, and, also, some warm southern comfort rays for both of you. Do keep us posted on how she does. I know with you as her mom, Miss Hallie is well taken care of.
Darcel & Hilde :angel12:
Rays coming to Ms H, and try to blink its not good for the eyes.
Roberta
ps big hugs to you both we know where you are coming from
I know way too many of us here have gone through this. It really is a tragic part of this breed. Although if the neuro's were right, Hallie's is not the typcial doxie back problem. Makes it frustrating too as I don't know if what I'm doing for her is the best thing (and neither do they without doing an MRI which they don't want to do at this point). She seems worse to me today so I upped her tramadol. She is sleeping right now. Leave it to her and I to both get conditions no one can diagnose! :dontknow:
Oh no. Will pray for you guys.
Sending HHHHH's :comfort: and PPPPPPPP's  for you and Hallie.
Hope you are both doing better SOON!!!!!!!!
Merion & the ZZ's
Hope Hallie feels better soon....continued hugs and rays to sweet Hallie and Dee Dee  :comfort:
She feels like a million bucks today and without meds so it's been harder to keep her quiet, she is such a happy, silly girl she likes to spin and will run from point a to point b at a full gallop rather than walk like a young lady. :thumb: So she can't understand why she can't race out to potty but has to be walked but I'm relieved she's looking so good. (I'm still not blinking yet though!)
breathe, Dee Dee, breathe..
Remember they don't worry about the future like we do. I really hung onto that as I went through Loki's thing last summer. it's 10 and 1/2 months now.
Try not to think about tommorrow. Let's today's worry be sufficient for today.
Rays goin' out for ya big time!
 Les and the girrrrrlz
Good advice Les. Thanks for the reminder. She seems slower this morning so I am fretting over every move I need to be smacked alongside the head with a sack of quarters...it's hard to know what is age related and what is not. Has it been that long with Loki that is great!!!
Too bad you're not a cat, DD, they never blink, have you ever noticed that? I totally understand your worrying over Hallie. You are doing everything you can. Sounds like she is feeling better and that is great.
It sounds like Hallie is feeling better. Of course keeping her walking to potty rather than running is a good thing even if she doesn't like it. The fact she's a little slower this morning I wouldn't get worked up over, although keeping an eye on her wouldn't hurt either. After all she's been confined and restricted in her movements so she's bound to get some stiffness as well as general age related stuff. So don't read too much into it without other signs! Keep her quiet and still and see how she does.
Rays and prayers coming your way from KY!
  Dee Dee, how is Hallie feeling this morning?
I am so glad it sounds like Miss Hallie is doing better. Will be keeping you both in my  . Rays for more good news.
Darcel
Thanks you guys, she seems to be feeling normal! For the amount I'm letting her do anyway, she is very bright eyed and her normal "lets go!" self, she is doing her usual things like giving me a big BARK for a bite of something, etc. I'm relieved she's not in pain but will still keep her quiet for the full 2 weeks. Rays are working! :thumb:
Hope baby girl is continuing to do better.....
Thanks Barb! She is...she is acting like a puppy again. We were at my Aunt's memorial this weekend and my cousin had her little 1 yr old lhasa/maltese cross, Max there and Hallie wanted to play with him soooo bad, (and vice versa) she was so cute I hated to have to pick her up and make her stop...but it was nice to see she felt like it! :thumb:
Rays from Oklahoma hope all goes well if it has been raining there like it is here might be MR.Arthur he loves everyone if it is man, woman dog cat what ever. Seems like since Mr. Arthur has been around forever they could find away to get rid of him.
I wondered about that Papbouv I sure hope not though. I don't see any signs of it at all otherwise, it has been pouring buckets here the last 2 days and she is acting like a 2 yr old. She has amped up her "cracking mommy up" antics I think she is bored because it's too rainy to go out and it's been 2 weeks today I've kept her quieter so she's rarin' to go! She did go to Home Depot today and help me buy some flowers. She is the most joyful dog I've ever had.
 Haillie wez should get together and BARK and BARK wez NEED OUT..........................NOW....................Iz promise, Iz be good no running.......................Ms A
