Title: Photo Monday
Post by: DeeanDave on April 13, 2009, 02:19:12 PM
We haven't had a "Photo" Day in a while so decided it was time!  The picture below depicts what I consider a Sarge n Duggie "DachsaOreo Cookie".....two doxies and a blankie filling!

This seems to be Duggie's favorite place to lay.....on top of Sarge!  Although, the other day, the role was reversed.....Sarge was laying on top of Duggie....and, of course, no camera easily accessible before they moved!

The second photo is of the family with our T-Shirts and Hats for the MS Walk on April 5.  We raised $1245 for MS.  The furkids had to stay home otherwise they would have been in the picture also!

Happy Monday, Everybody!!!

That always cracks me up how nonchalant Sarge is about having Duggie lying on TOP of him!

Good for you and your family raising money for MS.  Every little bit helps!

I'll play along with the Monday photos.  I shot a couple of Zora and Zeke.  This is the obligatory "standing on the edge of the deck" picture that every dog we've had has taken.   Of course, getting the two of them to look at the camera at the same time is a challenge.  In addition, Zora knows the flashy thing is coming, so she squints pre-emptively.   These were the best of the bunch:

Zeke:  Hey, what's over there?

Zora:  Zeke will you forget about the neighbor's dog?  Just look at the camera, and wait for that flashy thing, silly.

These pictures show their "Quiet Spot" packs to good effect.  The Quiet Spot is a small neoprene that holds their ID tags.   Not only does it keep them from incessantly clanging, it protects them from the elements so they can be read if they ever need to be.

A little late, but here's an update No. 1 (need two takes to show all of our dogs!).

The first picture is Willy, who many of you know. He's now 9 years old and a little plumper.
The second is Hannah, another veteran of Wiener Writings, who is now 12 years old.
Then we have Willie (ie, not y), who is our senior doxie at 13. His mother Tootsie, who we had, died last year.
Fourth is Olivia, one of our three honorary doxies, a rescue basset. She is 11.

Here's take two of our menagerie. We actually have nine dogs. I don't have a good picture of Lucy, our 8-year-old black and tan dapple. She's Willie's brother, and we brought her into our home last Thanksgiving when her owner died.

First picture here is Heidi. She's 8.
Second is Maggie. She's also 8.
Then we have Isabella, or Bella for short. She is blind and has had part of her jaw removed because of cancer, but she's a trooper. Bella is 11.
Last, but certainly not least, is Daisy. She's only 2 years odl and would love another young 'un to play with. Wait a minute, she does -- our daughter Lily!
