Every other day, I take Ozzy for a walk around the high school, about a mile-and-a-half round-trip distance. Lately, Ozzy has been smelling around a lot more, then he squats and pees.
I did not think that neutered dogs would do that! :scratch:
My Rudy will squat sometimes - don't know why he chooses to do it at that time !!! I have noticed that mine lately have been smelling a lot of stuff - I guess Fall coming in.....out walks take a long time !
but just always keep in mind that any change in peeing habits may possibly be a urinary infection. If you notice him peeing a lot more and or/drinking more, it could also be other things. Of course, it could just be fall in the air.
Ozzy sticks pretty close to his schedule and I haven't noticed any more peeing or drinking. We are also walking around a high school, where students can be quite careless what they drop, so there are PLENTY of interesting things to smell. Ozzy almost scored some candy, fortunately I was fast enough to grab it from him.
Both Rudy & Max would do the squat thing. Sometimes the only way I could tell that they were peeing was that their tails go straight up. Max has always been a half-hearted marker. His leg never gets too far off the ground when he lifts it.
Our old dog Rusty used to literally vault himself into the air to try to make a higher mark.
