This is AWESOME....I LOVE the new board. I have been a member of the old board for a LONG time but I haven't been active there for quite some time.
Introduction....
Hi I am Beckie Decker and I am a dachsaholic. It all began in 1994, no wait, it all really began when I was about 10 yrs old and my Grandmother aquired the son of our dachshund. His name was Prince. My brother and I called him Pooh, because he was just a little Pooh Bear inside and we both knew it, but he was the BIG DOG on the outside and often ruled the small country neighborhood out at my grandmothers house. Anyway, Prince was my first addiction to dachshunds. I loved him to death and always knew I would one day have one of my own. In 1994 my brother bought me my first dachshund, Didwee. Sadly Didwee only lived for 2.5 years as he was ran over 4 days after I got Missy Ann. My sons took him outside with them while I was sleeping (I worked nights) and forgot he was outside. When Didwee got ran over it almost killed me. Thankfully I was off for 4 days because I was a mess. I wanted nothing to do with Missy Ann because it seemed that when I loved something, something would always happen to destroy it, so I told my hubby and sons that Missy Ann was their dog and they would have to take care of her. When I went back to work I found out that Missy Ann's brother had died due to malnutrition (they had been orphaned pups and I got her when she was 6 weeks old and in horrible shape) Needless to say I called home in a panic afraid maybe we had not yet turned her malnourished state around enough for her to survive. Well it was too late, I already loved her and that was the way it would be.
Now I am Proudly owned by Romandachs Dachshunds.
I started showing Cinnamon in December 2000, she finished her Championship on July 1, 2002, The next day my second show dog finished his championship after only being out for 2.5 months.

In November of 2003....I finished my first Home Bred Champion....

Then in 2004....Several dogs that I owned, bred and co-bred finished their Championships....

CH Romandachs Lil Texas Tumbleweed MWP May 15, 2004, finished out of the Bred-By classes and got invited to the Eukanuba for 2005
CH Dominos Sweet Magnolia MWP (came from the litter with Rosie and Cinder) May 15, 2004
CH Englelong Ozzie MS June 18. 2004
CH Englelong Sweet Charity MS June 19, 2004, She went Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to best in Show at NMDC 2004, she was in the Top 25 Smooth Dachshunds for 2004 and got invited to the Eukanuba for 2005.
CH Romandachs Son Of The Wave MWP June 24, 2004 shown for a little over 3 months.
CH Romandachs Trouble From the Start (littermate with the above, owned and finished by Kim Ragsdale)
CH Romandachs Waitin' On Joe V Sherricks MWP (finished by his owner Sherry Whitt)
CH Sherricks Simply Irresistable MW (owned and bred by Sherry Whitt, she is out of my Rosie, who sherry owned at the time)

In 2005.....
CH Romandachs Unleashed MWCP January, 2005, finished out of Bred By, has an invite to the 2006 Eukanuba.
CH Romandachs Ridin' The Storm Out MSP May 22, 2005, lacked 4 points from finishing out of the bred by classes.
Sherricks Bold-N-Beautiful MWP (littermate with the above, will be the 4th to finish in her litter) needs 1 single point.
Romandachs Bacardi MWCP Needs 2 singles to finish.

Romandachs Sherricks Did It... has both majors and 8 points.
Englelong-Romandachs Hopes-N-Dreams MS...Has 4 points.
Romandachs Indiana Girl MWCP..... has 4 points.
Romandachs Midnight Truffles MS.... has 2 points
Romandachs Cash On Delivery MWP.... has 2 points and now in a show home.

I have been fortunate to have had a wonderful mentor and Best Friend, as well as several other friends who have stood behind me, helped me and we have all traveled together and made memories along the way.. I feel I am living my dream.

For those who do not know me...I made a slide show a few days ago, it has a LOT of pictures and if on dial-up, takes a long time to buffer. Of course I feel it is worth it   :grin:
