Title: In the Backyard
Post by: David C. on March 09, 2009, 08:19:55 PM
It was in the low 70s on Saturday, so hoomans and puppers alike spent a good part of the day in the backyard.  I, of course, had to get the camera.

Even when we used to babysit Zeke and Zora for Yamisi, Zora has always forged a special bond with Margie.   At one point, Margie left the backyard to go get the mail.  Zora stood dutifully by the gate.   Here, Margie is approaching the gate.  You can see by Zora's body language that she is gazing up at Margie, awaiting her to come back on the "her" side of the fence.

..and of course, if we have a picture of Zora, we have to have the obligatory picture of Zeke.  The white specks between his eyes is where him and Rudy-angel got into a scrap.   When the hair grew back, it grew back white.

The wonderful thing about the digital cameras is that you can shoot an almost unlimited supply of shots.  With the D90 and an 8GB memory card, I can shoot almost 3,600 images on the lowest setting, which is still double the resolution of my first camera's highest resolution.   You actually need that many to try to capture a good picture of Jessica as she tends to be an uncooperative model.  I shot off almost 30 pics on Saturday...but then you get the one that is the "money" pic.

Hope this weather sticks around.   Winter stinks!   It's definitely time for spring!

Sorry it takes so many shots to get one for the money, but your Jessica sure does take a great piccy when you get one!  It is wonderful to see one with Margie in it, too!  (And the Zz's shots are obligatory, of course!  )

Great pictures, David.  Jessica is growing up so fast.  That sure is the money shot of her.  Love her eyes.

Jessica is absolutely gorgeous!  I don't think that child could take a bad picture if she tried!
Zora looks really tiny in that picture!  About how much does she weigh David?

All three kids are adorable, its so great that Zora adores Margie and it shows. Our weather is doing the reverse to yours and we are glad of it, with the water and bush fires situations roll on winter, we say you can always put another jumper on or turn the heat up, but when its hot you can only do so much.

It was worth every shot taken for that one of Jessica. We had that wonderful weather over the weekend and will have it through tomorrow. After that, it's back in the 40's and 50's.
I just got a Nikon D60 and I'm loving it. I'll have to post some pictures later. I took one Sunday of a Jonquil that is stunning and I'm still not sure how I did it. I just love a smart camera!!

Auntie Karen says you can always put on another sweater or pair of socks, but you can only get so undressed before you can't come out of your bathroom!
