So we both semi retire on 7th of April, Nick has a 3 day position with the council and I will be a lady of leisure for a while. The guys will not know what has hit them, they have been a bit on edge as we have been, but we can relax now and ALL we have to do is pack.....................................   twenty years in one place...

Congratulations! That did go fast, the credit crunch hasn´t hit Oz yet I see. Brace yourself for the big move and enjoy your new home and time with your Nick and the shorties. Love the picture of them, must be wonderful to wake to such peace and quiet.
Miguel and I will take a wee dram to your good luck and health this evening!
What wonderful news, Roberta. So happy your house sold so quickly. Now the worst part - the packing. That is just a big pain in the butt. Are you doing the move by yourselves? Love the pic of the furkids.

Roberta - that is awesome !!! Congrats !!!
congratulations enjoy your new home
Annie we are going to pack and move everything in things ie crockery etc, and we have movers to take the furniture. One thing that is going out in the bin is their big bed here as it has seen 20 years of use and 5 dachies so they will only have their new one up in Bairnsdale.
The crash has started here, but our reserve bank has lowered the interest rates and the government is doing stimulus packages. We did come down a bit, but all in all we got what WE thought we would get.
To-day we went out and bought a new 4x4 as we will need it some times up there and Nick's car had just about had it. We bought a Suzuki Vitara, Amy's crate will go in a lot easier.
Now off to pack, but first finnish my last promised quilt.

How wonderful that you have sold the house so quickly! How long will it take for the final papers to be signed and the keys handed over?
I think any of us who have watched the house being built online are a bit envious! The view you have is absolutely breathtaking and something I could definitely get used to waking up to in the morning. I hope everything goes smoothly and the packing gets done quickly!
That is wonderful news, Roberta! We're happy for Nick and you and Oliver and Amy!
Congratulations!!! There are houses in my neighborhood that have been on the market for over a year.
That's GREAT! Congratulations!!!
'WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
