Well, I have been putting off Porky's trip to the new vet for weeks. We have lived here just a month now, and I dreaded the thought of going through the process of finding a new vet. We LOVED our old one.
Well, I finally picked up the phone and made a annual check-up appointment for Porky. The receptionist/vet tech was very friendly and about had a heart attack when I said my name. :2funny: It always makes me laugh to see people freak out when I say me first name. Then once I spell it for them, they always say, "Oh, that was easier than I thought it would be." :2funny: After getting my name, she asked what breed of dog I owned, and his name. As soon as I told her his name was Porky Pie her immediate response was, "Awww" and a giggle.
We also found out that our new town only requires a two-year rabies shot instead of having to have one every year. :meme: :apls: So...that means, Porky will most likely get out of there without having to get any shots. Basically the appointment will be to check him over and meet the new vet.
Plus, we are officially unpacked!! :apls: :meme: I finally got my bookshelf moved up here so I was able to unpack all of my books. We haven't gotten a new couch yet, but other than that, our house is looking like home finally.
Glad you are finally settled in....I hate the thought of us ever moving again....It sounds so far like the people at the new Vet's office are all very nice and Porky should like them just fine!!! Let us know how it goes!!
Glad to hear you are all settled in... It is hard to move.. I am dreading our move (if our house ever sells.. lol), luckily we are only moving 1/2 hour away so Philip can be closer to work... Also very lucky to be moving to the town where our vet is... Give Porky a belly rub for me... Hugs...
