Title: discussion with fencing people
Post by: Roberta on February 10, 2009, 12:02:35 AM
The other week we were in to Elders where you buy farm supplies we were saying what height would the chicken wire for the bottom half of the fence to wackle proof it. We said what widths did they have, and we said we have dogs so it would half to be the second one, the guy then asked what size they were and all the farm supply killed themselves when they heard they were mini Dachies, most farm dogs are kelpies or as big as collies.
I think we made their day

:2funny: That's a great story.    It would have been fun to see the initial shock on their faces.

Roberta,
My father -in-law works for Fed Ex and went to a BIG ranch and they had a dachshund running around herding the cows!     So next time those fencers come you tell them you're not the only one with dachies on a farm.    Dad sure got a kick out of seeing the little guy running around in his bandanna herding the animals.
