we´ve lurked, prayed and rayed but been without ADSL and ´puter for ages, Red had 8 ops on a front paw fistule, my mother had 2 new hips (trips back and forth from Spain to Scotland to help), my continued issues after spinal reconstruction a few years back...building work in the flat, and a long etc. etc.
We´ve missed you all and look forward to being more "active" on the board now. BTW, Red was 6 on 21st October, Islay 5 on 11th September. Am attaching a softie pic of us on the sofa so you will recognize us!
Thanks to everyone who sent us messages over the holidays, I got them yesterday when we got my ´puter back in order, will be in touch.

Good to see you guys back. Wow! Your pups look so grown up and matured. I remember them as puppies. Time flies! They are still as good-looking as I remember. I love those harnesses.

great to hear from you! It does seem 2 minutes since they were pups to me too, the time goes way too fast. They have matured beautifully and won quite a lot of 1sts along the way, I´m so very proud of them both. The prizes are not so important as the fact they´re so irresistable and a pleasure to live with.....I wonder if they´d say the same of use!
So sad to hear Ilsa is so poorly, we´re praying hard for respite and recovery. In the meantime, send her our - and particularly Red´s - biggest and best hugs for getting better.
The harnesses were made to measure by Dana from Wieniw-in-the-Window a while back and we´re thrilled with the fit. They don´t normally wear them in the house and usually "go nude", but that was the pic Miguel took to send to Dana once we received them.
We´re due for a visit to Madrid soon and have been thinking of you and your time there, do you still have contacts there?

Thanks Annie, we´re totally besotted, of course. Mum is doing great now and back golfing and swimming. I´m fine walking and can use part of each hand around the home, am getting used to the pleasures of being an at-home Mum to Red & Islay and not missing consultancy work any more!

Andrea, it's so good to hear from you and see you back. Red and Islay look handsome and beautiful as ever! Seeing them in their harnesses has inspired me to make Sarge and Duggie their harnesses! Probably much to their dislike! I found a pattern and fabric this morning......now on to make them! I've been looking around and hadn't found any that I liked....but I like the style of Red and Islay's.....and actually found a pattern similar to theirs! Welcome back!! Dee, Dave, Sarge & Duggie

Hi there Dee,
it´s great to be back, we really did miss you all a lot. I love the harnesses and both Red and Islay are comfy in them, Dana did a great made-to-measure job. I´m not able to sew any more since the spinal problems have left me with partial paralisis in each hand and I wasn´t as good a seamstress as she is ever anyway! The "handle" on the back is handy...meant for the car seatbelt, but Miguel does tend to use it to grab them occasionally when we need to put their leads on quickly.
We tried a model with just velcro at the neck and it kept coming open, the clip is a good idea and safer. The underbelly gets very soggy if it´s inclement outside - especially Red since his thorax is very low - we tend to go back to traditional wear for rainy days!
I´d love to see your pattern and the boys modelling when you´re ready.
