... feel safer tonight....
my youngest son (after 10 years USMC) was commissioned yesterday as a Trooper in the Washington State Patrol . (center 3rd row up)
Proud Mama Ruth
That is awesome Ruth. My Dad was the Sargeant here for many years, I know that uniform well.
Congratulations to the new Trooper. You must be so proud of him.
Hugs,
Annie & the New Jersey Doxie Gang
Ruth, how wonderful! Don't both of your sons now work for WSP? That is great and you have a lot to be proud of! Is he going to work in Western or Eastern Washington area? dee
Ruth- that is awesome and you SHOULD be most proud !
Very, very cool!!!
Hi Dee,
Yes , both sons are WSP. Tim is Communications Officer (dispatch) in Tacoma, and Dan will be in Bellevue/Seattle.
At some point, big brother will be able to tell little bro "where to go" :wink3:
Wow Ruth, that is awesome! You must be incredibly proud! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: I will keep your son in my prayers as he begins his new position.
Wow Ruth, that is AWESOME! Congratulations to the proud momma and her two sons!!
Congratulations!! :apls:
and he won this award ...
Top Control / Defensive Tactics Award
Presented to Trooper Daniel ............; this award recognizes superior levels of understanding and application of control tactics and use of force. This is derived from a combination of written examinations scores, physical skills testing, and decision making scenarios (110 hours).
(do you think 10 years Security Forces USMS helped?)
You have every reason to be proud of him. Those awards are not easy to come by. I think the crooks in the Bellevue/Seattle area better watch out, their days are numbered!
Wow! Congrats to him! You must be very proud, Goodness knows you have reason to be!
Congrats Ruth! You should be proud of both of your boys. Let's not forget about Tim, either. From my own experience volunteering with the Maryland-National Capital Park Police, I can tell you how important it is to have a voice you can trust on the other side of the radio. When you call in service and the voice on the other end is one you recognize, it is a very reassuring feeling.
