Hi you guys. I am still in Yuma, AZ and will be here until ??????? Its hard to say. Mom had a laminectomy on Jan. 6 and just came home from the rehab hospital on Jan. 27. She is having a rough time, more leg pain, nausea, etc. I read up on it and the leg pain is normal as the nerves heal. The nerves were compressed in the lumbar and now that surgery has been done they are swelling and healing, so that causes the pain. It sure is hard to not get discouraged when this happens after surgery, I know all too well firsthand. My dad feels so helpless and so I just try to take control of the situation and do what I can. My dad can take care of himself, fix breakfast and lunch, do shopping and laundry, etc., so that helps.
Thankfully Dan (bless his heart) suggested I stay as long as my folks need me, and it has given all my sisters peace of mind knowing I am here. Its not like I have a job waiting for me at home because I am unemployed right now. Long Term Disability may cut me off at any time and I have no idea how we will pay the bills but I am not giving up on trusting God. Dan and I have lots of options, and we may be broke but we still have our 40 acres!!!! Thats a great asset, and we have someone who is very, very close to making us an offer, and that gives me a great feeling of hope.
Please pray for my mom, that she will be able to endure what she is going thru. Thanks.
Hi Patty, so glad you are there for your Mom and Dad. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. The Gang is sending mega healing rays to your Mom.
