Title: Quick update...
Post by: BandCMomma on January 21, 2009, 08:53:45 PM
Just in case anyone was wondering....I only have a few minutes, but a quick update.  :wopics: (actually, I'll post what I do have)

Cali aka Swiffer got shaved due to becoming a Swiffer! I bought her a sweet red w/pink fuzzy hearts  sweater and she's been doing great! I LOVE her smooth, soft hair now-what am I gonna do when it grows back? I left her face & tail unshaved-every other part got it. Because she's so little, it only took, maybe 15 minutes and a quick trim after a slight break. I didn't KNOW I had a veener-dog  :ween: (cept she's a girl dog)! She looks SO cute! I love her hair long, but her undercoat was impossible to get through...well, not for the clippers

I'll try to snap some pics & get back here to post them. It just been crazy  , with the way it is today, worrying everyday about the economy. Miss you all & thinking about you, too!!!

:grouphug:

I think she looks great. With the wirehair in her, I can see how her undercoat would become an issue. Hope to see you posting here more often soon!

Under coat what I did with my Bouvier's  in Spring before I shaved them down for our hot summers I used a German Shepard rake really removed allot of undercoat.Only did it about once a week or every two weeks. If you run into matt's you can use Cowboy Magic you want the stuff in the tube great for matt's and beards. Slicker brush helps also a Pin brush. About once a month I would line comb them to make sure no matt's anywhere. Under coats are a pain sometimes hard to keep ahead on them.
