We should get 1-3 inches of snow tonight, or 2-4 inches of snow, or a dusting to 3 inches. It all depends on who you listen to or what time of day it is. We really do live in one of the most unpredictable areas for snowfall. My guess is we may see a dusting to an inch around here since that is the direction the forecast has been changing in as the day as gone on. Meg lives 90 miles northeast and she may see around 5 inches. The joke around town is if we ever hear the meteorologists actually say it WILL snow, it won't happen. If they say there is just a possibility, that's when we get it. This morning the first thing I heard was that we would get snow tonight. That put the jinx on it right there!
Tune in tomorrow and I'll let you know if they were right or not and if Schatzi gets to go out and really see the white stuff.
Not one bit of snow on the ground and maybe a flurry if you look really hard. They missed this one, but those to the east of us got it. Meg has finally gotten the snow she has wanted for a long time and even those at the beach have snow. Maybe we'll have another chance this winter. It's going to be 60 degrees by Friday so I don't think we'll see it this week.

That's what we say around here too! If the weather man says we're getting a blizzard, we get nothing. If they say we won't get any....you better stock up on groceries, water, and blankets, because you'll be snowed in for days. :2funny:
Here in NC they predicted we would get 2-4 inches and we definitely have gotten that. The dogs do not like the white stuff at all.
What part of NC are you in? My daughter is in Rock Hill, SC near Charlotte, and they got around 5 inches, maybe a little more. The storm stayed a little east of us (in Greenville, SC) and went up through the midlands and into NC and wrapped around to the coast. The mountains block us most of the time. The only good thing-they also can block some tornado weather in the summer.
We are in Fuquay Varina close to Raleigh. We got around 5 inches here.
Sure is nice here in sunny, 80 degree, Yuma Arizona!!!
Dan said that Wasilla and Anchorage are in the middle of a major meltdown, its been quite warm for this time of year.

Last Friday, when the high was 30 degrees, they kept putting up the temperatures in Anchorage and Fairbanks and showing how much warmer they were than we were. Strange, strange weather this year.
After the past few days, we are in a heat wave here in Iowa. It is almost 30 degrees!!!! Hopefully the snow will melt down slowly - we don't want a repeat of 2008. Cedar Rapids' downtown area is still not right and people are still trying to re-build their homes and businesses.
