Our move day will be next Friday, the 16th. I'm betting that will also be the day we get a blizzard too. :2funny: We're supposed to have a storm front move through next week, so we'll see. When we moved last year we fought -15 degree weather, so I think we can handle a lot after that.
We did not get the ground floor apartment we were hoping for, but we are still thrilled to have an apartment in the same complex. Our apartment will be on the second (top) floor. I'll just have to carry Porky when we need to go outside. We already got to meet a lot of our new neighbors and they seem pretty nice.
The only thing I'm getting nervous about is helping Porky adjust to the move. He always has a hard time when we move and is anxious. We are planning on making once a month trips back here to see Bandit since he and Porky have really bonded. Its only a 45 minute drive, so we might even do it more often. Hopefully, Porky can meet a new friend that lives close by. We'll also have to find a new groomer :crybaby2:. She cried when we went in to see her for the last time this week. Porky just adores her, even when she's "torturing" him.
If we don't have internet right away, I promise to sneak away to the library to let everyone know how we are settling in to our new home and new town.
Great news, get Porky a Sherpa bag. Eddie loves his and when he goes to the vet in it everyone asks what type of a cat is he.
Rescue Remedy for Pets suppose to help during stressful times (do not get the candy kind the human kind has alcohol in it) Only use the one for pets. A massage might help??? Good Luck give Porky an extra Hug.Papbouv Patches & Buddy
I hope the weather holds out during your move. Rescue Remedy should help Porky....hugs and kisses to him for a smooth transition. Hopefully you can see Bandit once a month and maybe more. Take care and check in when you can!!! Crossing fingers and paws everything goes tremendously well!!!
Best of luck to you, and I hope the weather cooperates. Take care!
Well, it looks like the weather should be fabulous for our move on Friday. It is supposed to be 52 degrees! :apls: :meme: :hello2: Porky is getting more nervous and can sense we are excited about something. We have decided that to avoid making him really upset on the day of the move, we'll leave him here with Bandit until we are taking our last load. Then we'll be staying home with him for a few days until he is used to the new place. We also got a prescription from the vet for his anxiety, but we're hoping we won't need it. I'm going to put his toy box right by the front door, so he'll know this is going to be home.
I'm not sure where I can get rescue remedy around here. What stores sell it? I guess I'll just have to mail order some. :dontknow:
