Title: First christmas without
Post by: Kathy on December 24, 2008, 05:18:48 AM
This has been one of the worst years of my life.   I have been sick for over a year.  I've had two very large tumors removed.  I had to surrender my dog Jessi last Feb because she nearly killed one of my other dogs for no reasons.  My mom has had minor heart surgery.  Then she found out that she had bladder cancer and had to have her bladder removed.  I have a constand sharp pain in my belly button area that the doctors can't figure out what is causing it and have given up on what is causing it.  But it wouldn't be that bad if only my little REGIS was around.  It's been almost five months since I had to put my little angle to sleep.  I'm really missing him right now. I can't even decorate for christmas because in the box of decorations there it a christmas ordiment  that has a picture of my son and Regis  in it.  Sorry for venting.

Keep your head up. Bad times don't last forever.

Remember, God causes the rain to fall on the just and unjust in equal measure.

Is a bad year for you indeed. You will be in my prayers tonight when we go to church. We lost our dear little Eddie last February. When I put up the tree, I had a good cry when I unpacked his stocking. I thought I was over him, but apprarently I'm not quite. Sometimes you just need a good cry, and then wash your face and you will feel better. 2009 will be a new year, with new experiences, and always put a positive twist on them. Take Care....Kelly

Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers. I'm now trying to turn my mood around for the day I think I have felt sorry for myself long enough. I do know my problems are mild compared to others and I tell myself that everyday.

Kathy, 2008 has been the pits for me, too.  Dan's sciatic problem, my two ruptured disks, the death of my horse Jasper, my sister's breast cancer, my dad's breast cancer scare, mom's lumbar problem and intense pain, etc., etc................I will gladly bid 2008 goodbye this New Years Eve.  Life can be such a test sometimes, but you just can't give up.  If you did, what else is left?  You always have to have hope that things will get better.  So many people that I know are going thru hard times.  So don't feel alone, and never apologize for venting, especially here.     And I do know how much you miss Regis.

Yes, I retired from my drafting job, but I'm not really retired as in "collecting retirement".  I am on long term disability, which could end at any time.  I can't commute or sit at a computer all day.  I am starting to look around for a job close to home, something easy and where I am moving around a lot.  My specialty was electrical drafting, I loved all the detail work.  What's your job like?

My job is mostly designing subdivisions, and city work.  I applied for a job a couple of years ago for electrical drafting but didn't get the job.  Good luck with your job search.
