It's snowing in Greenacres.....started about 8:30 this morning and as of this moment we have about 4 inches on the ground! There is a winter storm watch until 4:00 pm tomorrow.......From the looks of it, I don't think it is going to quit snowing anytime soon! The temps are about 12 degrees and the wind is blowing but not as hard as it had been in the past few days. While Sarge does like snow, he is not too happy right now.....the temps are just a bit too cold! And, Duggie, well........he is absolutely not happy with having to go out in this stuff!
Simon would love to be there!
Willy and Alex can relate! Thank goodness they are paper-trained, we don't go out much in the winter, except after their papa has plowed the driveway and we go out for a breath of fresh air for a couple of minutes. Alex, with the plate in his leg from breaking it years ago, freezes up especially fast.
We are supposed to get snow this weekend. I love the snow! All the snow keeps missing us this year. :dontknow: We'd be happy if you sent us some.
Snow??? That's white stuff? Floats from the sky, right?? Haven't seen much of it lately. A flurry here or there over the last couple of years, usually just enough to get a picture of Schatzi in it. There will be snow everywhere around us and then there will be this little triangle area on the map-that's us!! It seems to miss us all the time.
It has been colder this year so far, so I'm wondering if our chances may be a little better. All I want is one really nice snow (without all the ice) to enjoy for a couple of days  I may be dreaming, but it can't hurt anything to dream.
Blusky&Manny&our Momma here:It's supposed to snow here tomorrow night in Illinois!
We have about 7-8 inches of snow now......it's still snowing.....hasn't stopped yet and the weather report is for continued snow with no easing until 4 a.m. tomorrow! The snow is deeper than the furkids! I'm keeping the deck and one little area cleared for them to do their business.......that's turning into a full time job! The neighbor just stopped by and said that he took tomorrow off so he'll snowblow our area tomorrow. In November, we purchased a new snow thrower so he'll use that. I used it this afternoon....but with the snow falling, you can't tell. If this keeps up the way it is, we'll really be "snowed in" tomorrow! It just keeps coming and coming and coming! The freeway and all other roads, according to the news, are a mess.....there have been over 150 accidents just on I-90 within a 15 mile radius. Within the city limits, there have been over 100 accidents. Police are only able to respond to injury accidents....all others, they are saying exchange information and go. The streets are bad and several hills (roads) have been closed because vehicles can't get up them. So, with the exception of clearing an area for the furkids, I think I'll just sit in my warm house, with my cup of coffee or tea, and watch the snow fall! If I could package it up and send it to those who want it, I'd gladly do so! Now, with this weather, I'm really enjoying retirement! I don't have to do the commute in this weather!!! Yea!!!!
One of our first grade teachers saw about 8 snowflakes drifting down today - we get snow so rarely on the valley floor. Btw, she is owned by Oscar and Vienna - two dachsies.
Wow, tons of snow :hello2: :hello2: Just hunker down and enjoy.....and tell everyone else nah nah nah nah nah nah :nana: cause you don't have that commute anymore! That must feel great
We have 4 snow storms in the weather forecast before Christmas. I live in London, Ontario. Thank goodness the shopping is done so we can cosy up by the fireplace, or veg in the hot tub outside with a cup of hot chocolate and watch the snow fall. I've even got some good books. My daughter is flying in from Ottawa on Monday.....hopefully between storms. Everybody else that's visiting next week live in the city. Snow removal is usually pretty good.
Dis is Parker: My hooman sista is comin to see me. I hope she brings me a pwesent. I got her a pwesent. It's a picture of me!! I knows she'll like it.
