Title: Kin Sumbuddy Turn Up the Outdoor Thermostat????
Post by: DeeanDave on December 13, 2008, 07:12:28 PM
Sarge & Duggie here:  It's cooooollllllddddd outside!  We have started to get snow, and the wind is blowing up to 35 miles per hour and it's cold!  The temperature outside is 5 degrees but with the wind chill, it's feeling like -20 below zero!  We are only going outside when absolutely necessary and when we go out, Mom goes wif us!  She is not real happy wif us, cuz, when we go out we is going clear into the garden area and not staying near the deck!  She follows us jus like a Mudder Hen.......so, kin sumbuddy turn up the thermostat outside??

Dee here:  It is so cold out and snowy and windy and the from the reports I've heard on TV, the roads are sheer ice!  Any other time, the boys will do their business right off the deck!  But no, now they go charging clear out into the garden area and I'm right behind them!  I think they are doing this just to get me!  In this cold, I will not let them go out without my supervision on site, not from the door.......The neighbors probably think I'm nuts!

Stay warm everyone! Or, if you have warm weather, please enjoy some for us!   We're staying home and not going anywhere for the next few days.

Please stay warm if you can....sounds terrible!!!!  Don't slip and fall on the ice!!!  You boys need to go right by the house so you can be safe....This weather is so weird....today here it was in the forties and tomorrow will be in the forties and then the fifties on Monday....then the bottom is going to fall out and it will be a high of thirty five and some major snow accumulation.

We're actually getting snow in Tacoma too.  And it's supposed to get down to 9 degrees (which is SUPER low for here).   It's fun seeing the dogs get to play in the snow though.

dis is Parker: Is terrible here in Canada. I fells off the deck and disappeared in the light fluffy snow. Was funny.....Mommy fells off the deck and fells in the snow too trying to finds me. She was wearing her nighty. Then Daddy's come running out. They's made a big fussers about me disappearing off the decks. I gots lots of hugs and kisses, and a really good snuggles in a blankie. I was so upset I didn't goes pee. hmmmmmmmmmm I tooks care of that business under the Christmas tree. Dens the warm fuzzies disappeared and things was back to normal.

Parker's Mom here: The deck is just 1 step up off the ground. Parker didn't realize he was at the end of the deck as the snow was level with the deck. He just stepped off and disappeared. Of course he wasn't hurt, but since he is basically a very timid dog, it was obvious he was really upset and needed a lot of reassuring that he was okay. He's such a little rascal.

Gee, I didn't realize just where you live.  I've had to go to St. Pete a couple times for business in the past 3 months.  Perhaps we can get together if I have to go again.

I stayed at the Trade Winds in St Pete Beach the last time.

Transportation is available!  We should probably rent a party bus!  Margarita's anyone?   :thumb: Santa DOES stop down here as well as the snowy blowy parts of the country.  I have heard that his sled is equipped with alternative landing gear in the form of wheels for the warmer environments.

Sarge and Duggie are sayin' book us on da next flight to Florida or California!  It's so depressing with the cold and wind and gray skies!  It's too cold to be snowing right now, although they are saying snow on Wednesday and Thursday.    At least today the wind slowed down a little bit and the sun did come out but the temperature never got above 5 degrees!  The boys explored a little bit this afternoon when the sun was out but not much......Duggie wants absolutely nothing to do with this cold!  Sarge is more of a trooper with it.  But, boy, do they go out and do their business fast!  Sarge just sort of gives Duggie the look that says "Duggie, quit being a woos/baby about the cold.....just get er' done!"

If it snows on Thursday, I hope it is light.  Dave and I are going to be Santa and Mrs. Claus from 3 until about 8:30 at Eagle Ridge.  It's about a 45 minute drive one way for us.  While that's not too bad, I'd prefer the roads to be clear and dry.
