I'm glad it is working for her!

For anyone thinking of using one, when used correctly, they aren't the torture instruments they look like. The ends are not sharp, they are blunt, if you wrap one around your wrist and give a good tug it does not dig in or hurt. Of course if someone were to jerk it very hard on a dogs neck, it could do damage like any collar that is jerked hard...so never let a child or inexperienced dog person walk a dog in one, but the benefit of this collar is it tightens evenly all the way around the dogs neck, compared to a buckle or choke chain, which exerts pressure on the neck in one area directly opposite the direction you are pulling. This puts a lot of pressure on the neck and the trachea, (very bad for doxies in particular) and can do damage in the long run (as well as teaching the dog to pull). With the prong, the dog does not keep pulling and they learn to ease up when they feel the pressure. You should add a command word like "easy" just before the pressure so they associate it and will learn to slow up on the command. I started my last 2 on these and only had to use them a few weeks. Also be sure to not have the collar on too loosely or it won't work as intended.

Here is a link explaining how to use one.

I think if it was the Vulcan Pupper Grip they'd be passed out.  That's what it did on Star Trek.

The Vulcan Pupper Grip turns 'em glassy-eyed and kinda spacy.  Unca Cesar calls it calm submission.  I calls it Mind Control!

I call it wonderful!
You can call it anything, just don't call us late for dinner! :bkiss:
