This is getting ridiculous! Now it's Bonnie that just left a pile of yuck in the hallway. I wonder.......
When I came home today, I saw what looked like blood spots on the back steps and about a foot into the house. I didn't find anything else. I've heard that Bonnie is a hunter. I wonder if she found some prey and ate all of it? I haven't found any stray heads or tails in the house. That's so GROSS! Girls! Girls! Can we get back to the charming little NORMAL dawgs you know you can be? Mommy is tired and wants to sleep tonight. NO URPING allowed.
At least Maddie seems livlier tonight and isn't shaking and ate her rice most heartily.
I guess Miss Lou will get rice tomorrow. UGH! Enough already!
Hoping you get some much needed sleep tonight, without the ~Urping~... I just hate it when any of mine are sick... And, EWWWWW is right!!! ACK!!! :idiot:
Good luck, mom.... :xfinger:
Ewwwwww is right.....okay girls....no more urps, okay?? Hope The Roo and Bonnie both feel lots better soon!!!
Oh gosh, when it rains, it pours ! Are you sure one of the girls didn't bleed from somewhere ? Sending rays and  that your week end is RESTFUL for all !
something to take out of this is that they are working together by the sounds of it.
Roberta
ps hope they both have settled tums soon
UPDATE: Thank GOODNESS, today was a lot better. The girls seem almost back to normal. Maddie has some soft stool, but upon CLOSE inspection, I see no blood. Bonnie's shivering is largely because she is COLD. I need to get her a sweater that fits. Dolly's just doesn't do it. Dolly was a lot wider and shorter. Bonnie's a string bean and could stand to gain a lb or so, IMHO. Mebbe I'll shop sweaters this weekend.
Thanks so much for listening and reading. I sure treasure all of you. y'know, I talk about this at work and what do I get? The ol' GLAZED LOOK of non-interest. Sometimes I feel SO invisible. Sometimes I feel closer to my internet friends than people I see every day. Hmmmm.
Hope everyone has a wienerful weekend. Oh, btw, the girls are getting along better and better every day. Just a bit ago, they were snuggled under the quilt with me and they were spooning. Maddie stepped on Bonnie a couple of times and NO growls. Poor BonBon is still coned and will be probably for another 4-5 days until the nasty on her back heals. I got to keep Maddie away from it, as she likes to lick it and play nursie.
Oh happy day!!!! So glad the girls are feeling better :hello2: :hello2: And spooning too? How Wienerful :apls: :apls: I know what you mean too about feeling closer to your internet friends than the people you see every day. I get the same reaction at my work from almost everyone....except that is....the two people I know there who have dachshunds themselves
Maybe they worked together on a kill and now they have cemented the bonding process! That would explain the reason for no growling, even when being stepped on. Molly and Schatzi get along great and Molly still growls if Schatzi steps on her!
I would love to find a pattern for one of the doxie fleece jackets. I just can't spend 30.00, but I love that the front legs don't have to go through any type of hole so it really accomodates the deep chest. I'm not quite talented enough to come up with one on my own, but I may see if one of my friends might be if I can find a basic pattern.
Good luck finding a sweater for Maddie. Walmart has some for $5-7 but they were disappearing fast.
On the Doberman forum they say if a Doberman gets too cold it can cause GI upsets might be true of smooth Dachshunds too???
Wow, Sandy - poo to all urps in general. I think it is time for Miss Maddie and Miss Bonnie to just be hale and hearty, be real pack members and be contented wheresoever either one sleeps! Rays for the urpies heading west...
