Since we moved in up bush we have been saying to the builders we did not think any water was going in our tanks. I think Patty will be the same we will rely on rainwater as we do not have town water. Well last week end we had a months rain (in a good Year) fall over a 24 hour period and we were right no water in our tanks. I took us 6 hours on Monday to find the break and hopefully we will start to collect water. We have gotten the local water man to deliver some, but that comes at a cost, which Nick is going to speak to the builders about.
Last Sat night was one the wildest we've been through the wind was cyclonic and the rain made visability down to about 5 feet. needless to say the two monsters asked to go out, I opened the back door and got the " You must be bomkers if you think we are going out there" then they went to the front door, dachie logic it may not be raining out the front. They ended up going on the verandah Oliver did brave it just the once photo to folow.
first photo is sat afternoon prior to the rain
second is Oliver being good
After the rain on Sunday they went exploring Amy wondered why she had to be dried down................
exploring
What it usually looks like and after the rain
see if this works Nick did a joiny together photo
Beautiful pics, Roberta. That body of water, is that a normal lake or was that caused by the rain? Of course the "fuzzies" look like they're having a grand time.
Is Oliver the red long haired one? He looks like my Manny! Have a good week!
My Simon would LOVE all that open space!!!
Oh Roberta, I hope you get your water situation squared away. Thats no fun. We went thru several quirks with our new house also, but with use things started running smoothly.
Your view is beautiful!
The small lake is after normal rain, and disappears after a day or two.
Oliver is the red lond hair my wee stress head, the photo makes him look big but he is the one that is a good weight etc. Madam is onother thing........
we have now just been able to let them out without Oliver doing a 'let's just run in any direction without thinking" when we work outside they are happy to smooch around, not that they will ever be left alone outside, our next BIG job is to replace the fence and make it dog proof.
Roberta
I wondered where you guys have been. I am sorry about your water problems...why can't things ever just go smoothly! I hope that gets figured out soon. I though am DROOLING once again over your fantastic view!! Wow that has to be something to see everyday especially sunrise and sunset. I love the pics of Oliver in the weather that is one brave doxie. Days like that Hallie goes slowly to the bottom of her ramp, looks the 10 feet ahead to the back yard, looks over her shoulder at me with drooping ears and apologetic eyes, and squats and pees right there on the cement. LOL. SORRY Mom....but you try coming out here in your birthday suit to pee in this stuff. LOL on the doxie logic of going to the front door since it is raining out the back. Amy gets some beautiful curls when wet!
Keep posting pics never get tired of seeing them.
OMG - what a pain !!! Looks gorgeous though and now hopefully you have water !
My goodness. That's a whole lot of water! Glad everyone is high and dry, even if they are a bit miffed at having to get their toesies damp.
Oh my gosh Roberta. So sorry to hear about your water problems. Your view is gorgeous....my two would love to live there!!! Oliver and Amy are two lucky puppers!!
Hi there Roberta, sorry to hear of you water problems and major works to correct them. We´ve had still have the builders here after 2 weeks since the water started coming in through our bedroom wall from our en-suite.....I really do simpathize. Either no water, too much, or in the wrong place!
A wee dram after work might do the trick. Slaïnte to you and Nick.
