Teresa was the first to crack the code! We're expecting our first hubaby! I wasn't going to say anything yet, but Alec was filling out Mango's Star of the Day bio and slipped it in there!
We're 17 weeks along and due April 7. We don't know what we're having yet and really just want a healthy baby.
We're a bit panicked about how our furkids will act. They are so loud and rowdy when we come home and Berman is so protective of me. Plus, he's very possessive of any toy! We were taking some baby things upstairs and a little rattle or something fell and Berman immediately claimed it and ran away with it! We're trying to get the barking under control, but we're not having much luck.
I hope we can all just get along!
Oh - and our wedding blog is now a baby blog: www.jennyandalec.blogspot.com
:thumb: CONGRATS! :binkybaby:
great blog! you are a terrific and funny writer. NOW I am very interested to find out about flu shots and mercury. I do get them every year. The shots that is. I work in health care. Honestly I never even thought about it. YIKES!! But I have to work, and I can't afford to be down with the flu, let alone be in this office with surgical patients....yada yada!! but great for you finding out all that info and finding a place to get you the right shot!!! That is great!!!
I was so impressed with your research on the flu shot. I really thought they had quit using thimerosal in all shots, not just the ones for children. It's good to know, that with a lot of searching, you can find a flu shot without it.
As soon as I read Mango's write up, I didn't think I had read anything about you being pregnant. I then looked at all your posts since August and saw it had never been mentioned. I really couldn't believe that no one else had noticed it in the Star of the Day post before I did.
I love reading your blog. I had not checked in for awhile or I would have known the news a while ago! Congratulations!
A huge Congratulations !!! Now I need to go back and re-read Mango's Star of the Day and see what I missed !!!!
You have plenty of time to do the research on how to integrate hoobabies and doggies - it will all work out fine !!!
How exciting !!!

Congratulations! My youngest nephews birthday is April 7! Next April he'll be 13!
Congratulations! :apls:
Congratulations! There'll be a few new hu-babies next year! If you have any questions feel free to PM me or just ask where ever. I had Cajsa when I was pregnant with the Elf and when she came home from the hospital. She had been an only dog and not used to sharing the attention before then.
As for the barking I don't think it'll really matter too much. Elf would/could sleep through any amount of dachsie barking when she was little. I think it was because she heard it so much before she was born, she just accepted it as a normal part of the environment! A new or strange dog could bark and it'd rouse her sometimes though as a general rule barkign wasn't an issue for us.
Congratulations!! How exciting for both of you! I'm sure you'll make wonderful parents.
