Title: It's dental time
Post by: Mike on October 24, 2008, 06:00:33 AM
and we would appreciate some rays that all goes well.  Clifford has been exhibiting signs of dental discomfort so he's going in this morning.  At 14 1/2 years old, it makes me very nervous when they put him under anaesthesia.

we´ll be rooting for you from over here, Mike.  Sunny Mediterranean rays heading your way so Cliffie sails through smoothly and gets a super duper supper with his fresh shiny teeth to share with you later in the day.

BTW, we reckon our little princess Islay has read your notes - she has started licking Miguel awake (nose, moustache, beard, ears and all) at 4am every day.....

all the best
Andrea, Red & Islay

Sending rays Clifford's way!! Better have those eggies ready for him when he gets home!

Penny and Mr Tucker are both due for dentals...I just hate putting Penny under after all she went through last year!

I'll keep Mr. Clifford in my thoughts and I'm sure he'll come out smoothly - with shiny clean chompers!  I'm sure he wouldn't turn down those eggies though.

The vet's office just called.  Clifford is awake and waiting with stomach rumbles.  He had 2 extractions so hopefully he will be pain free in a day or two.

I got a new cell phone 6 weeks ago just before my trip to France.  I seldom have it turned on and only 4 people have my number.  So, it is turned on and in my shirt pocket today so the vet can call me.  I was standing in the hall outside my office talking with a co-worker who was showing my pictures on her camera of her daughters' Hallowe'en costumes.  She turns to walk away and I hear a "beep".  Then another "beep".  I ask if her camera is beeping, thinking the battery is low.  Nope.  Then it sounds like it is coming from inside my office.  I go and pick the company camera lying on my desk and hold it to my ear.  Nope, not it either.  Now it sounds like it is coming from my trashcan!?!?  As I reach down I hear the beep again.  EGADS!!! It's in my shirt!!!  My phone is "ringing".  LOL I had never had an incoming call since getting it and didn't know what the ringtone sounded like.  I have changed it and played it to be sure I know what the noise my from clothes will be in the future.  Good thing there were no silly options like body noises...

Sending hugs and snuggles to Clifford.  I hope he's doing well.  We're up for that very soon.  Maddie doesn't have discomfort but her breath is atrocious!  I would have liked to wait for February when toof cleanings are on sale but I don't know if we can wait for that.

Thanks for the rays.  Clifford is doing very well.  As an added bonus, the vet informed me that we have fleas.  So, cleaning and laundry were the agenda for the weekend.

I'm sorry about the fleas.  I'm very glad Clifford is doing so well with the teeth cleaning!  I'm sure he deserves extra eggies since they pulled two teeth in addition to cleaning them!  Sparkling fresh teeth are trouble to keep (at least from the dog's point of view!)
