We think so to Auntie Barb! We have all the fingers and paws in the house crossed....and that is saying something! :thumb:
DARE does things a little bit differently than the process we went through with Toby. Of course, that was an exception to the normal rule because of the storm. In any case, the Foster mom arranges the home visit. The woman at DARE that I spoke with yesterday said we might be able to forego that, but we shall see. As JoAnn is being fostered close by I am hoping that we get a chance to meet her soon. I'll definately keep you all informed as things progress. She also promised to send more pictures as well!
OMG, she is absolutely adorable! How could you not want her. Smoochies to that sweet girl. We hope she will soon be in your home.

Ooh, what a beauty! Is she a dapple piebald? I love the ticking in her white areas. She's got a very very sweet little face.

JoAnn is a double dapple. Evidently this is a big problem as many are born with hearing and eye problems. So far, JoAnn has not exhibited any problems. I'm going to do a little more reading up on this as I wasn't familiar with this problem. I've never bred dachsies and don't know a lot about that sort of thing. In any case, she is really adorable. I am sooooo hoping that this works out. She seems to have found a little spot in my heart already...and I havent even met her!
Yes, she is the cutest thing ever. I'm sure things will work out. We adopted Misty sight-unseen (in person that is), we did get a photo of her emailed to us, and we also just fell in love. She came to us all the way from Georgia (to Alaska). And it was a match made in heaven. Misty and her papa Dan really connected and had a special love for each other.
Can't wait to hear more about JoAnn!!!
What a purdy grrrrrrrl! I sure hope you get to bring her home soon.
PS....I really like that bed!
Oh my! She is soooo SWEET! She definitely has the mooch look down, even though it's more cajoling than demanding!
She is beautiful. Most DD do have a lot of problems-eyesight lose, hearing lose, some have no eyes, malformed feed or feed missing--BUT there are a few that come out great--she seems to be one of them. She is a lucky girl.
CONGRATS :apls:
she's too precious!
we have all of our finger, toes, and paws crossed for you!
