First off, Happy Star of the Day to all the doglets that we missed this week. It's been quite the week for us here in Greenacres....I came down with a bug most of the week, Dave had a doctor's appointment for his foot (one more month in the walking boot cast for him), my only living Aunt passed away unexpectedly, we had new carpeting installed on Saturday morning plus the kids (Cassie and Sean) moved to another apartment. Whew.....I am pleased to say, that Sarge and Duggie are doing just fine!
Friday, I spent packing items in my hutch, etc., getting ready to clear out the living room/dining room for moving the furniture on Saturday morning prior to the carpet installers arriving. Saturday morning, our youngest son, Wil and our neighbor, Randy started moving all the furniture to either the bedrooms, kitchen, or outdoors (we were praying for no rain and actually covered the items outside in case it decided to rain). The two puppers and all the hoomans were sanctioned to the kitchen with the x-pen across the entry. Sarge and Duggie were watching us like hawks and they did just fine as long as we remained in their sight. They were not too happy with all the furniture moving! The carpet installers arrived at 9 a.m., and were finished at noon! Then all the furniture got moved back in to the rooms and as my son asked or stated, "I suppose you want it all in a different spot...." Response, yes, Wil, I do! The puppers love the new carpet....it's really plush and cushy! It passed their inspection. After we moved all the stuff, then Wil and I went to help Cassie and Sean.....Dave stayed home because of his foot. It was swollen so he stayed home with an ice pack!
This morning, we went to Home Depot with our neighbor to get the wood to build the boys' "perch". Randy and Dave built it and then with some of the carpet remnants, Dave and I carpeted the "perch" and ramp. So they now have their window seat to look out the window. I've included a some pics of the new doggity window seat, the new window for the doggitys. Their toys will be stored under the seat. The seat is 4 feet long, 24 inches wide and 12 inches high.
Now,......don't you think, I should get something for me.......like new furniture that I have found!!!! I'm thinking so......need to match the furniture! My son-in-law is going to come and paint the two rooms for me......even if I hadn't planned to paint, we need to since the window installed did a boo-boo which now needs to be painted.
Well enough.....here are the pictures.....

WOW - you have been VERY busy !!! LOVE the lookout !!!
Very nice, and easy access to the chairs on either side as well.
That's so cool! I bet the boys LOVE it! And new carpet too. Of course once you start down that road of one new thing, you need other new things. I hope Dave's foot is better soon.
Awesome guys, you did get through to mum and dad. Now mum has snot marks to get off the window.......tell her shower power is good for it.
Happy barking

Wow! You guys HAVE been busy! That carpet made a huge difference. I like it. I didn't think your old carpet looked that bad, but after seeing this one, maybe it did. I hope Dave is out of the cast next week. That has got to be a pain in the rear for him. And the look-out post...good job, Dave and Randy!!!! The boys are going to live there! You'll never have to look all over the house for them again!
Wow! That is one cool ramp and perch - your new carpet is lovely! I so am not showing this to Brekke and Robinton, because they'll want a ramp up to the window seat!
Oh my goodness, I don't dare show these pictures to the Gang or they would be demanding a window seat just like yours. lol What a great job. :apls: Love the carpeting. I bet today is your day of rest.

Now THAT is a seat ! Love it Dee! I bet the boys are enjoying the view and protecting your home from ... well, whatever it is that they think they are protecting us from!
Nice job!!!!!
That is a great looking perch. Cajsa and Gretchen would love one like it too, but I think I'd strangle them if they had one. (They will sit and bark out the window constantly and it would drive me batty!)
