:hello2: Thank you All! I've determind that Cali is a Bearded Mini Doxie.  :2funny: Her mom was a LH and dad a Wire and then that's Cali. She is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO    awesome! I NEVER loved (and been loved) like this before! I want MORE, but don't want her amount of attention to decrease. Anyhow-here's the latest....a LOT more has been going on before all of this, but this will catch you up what's been going on JUST THIS WEEK....

Well, I had one of those REALLY bad days. My 13-year-old cat, Gizzy, has had health issues most of her life. I've taken her to vets & they never knew what was wrong. So...after 2 days of finding blood-filled pools on the floor, I decided today was 'the day'. I took her in, had her put to rest, came home to find another pool. Here, it's my 1-year-old puppy, Cali, who was pooping blood. I called the vet to make an appt. right away...and freakin' out that it maybe wasn't Gizzy. OMG-what had I just done???

Anyhow, I took Cali in, her temp is up and he thinks she just has a puppy-flu. Gave her some medicine  :bandaid: and sent some home with me for her. She's miserable and so am I . Please include me in your prayers today . I need it bad. We live 35 minutes from the vet and after Giz, I cried all the way home. Though her journey will be great, she will be wholly missed.

Gizzy always would lay beside Tony until he fell asleep. After we lost him & had Alyssa (6), Giz would do the same, all the way until her last night, every night.

I had Gizzy since she was 8-weeks-old. She was always by my side throughout all of my years of struggle, heartache & pain. I wish her peace and love . I had wanted her brother when choosing...until she licked my chin, then I knew it was meant to be.

Hug the Ones You Love & Never Stop Loving Them

And TODAY: Cali is MUCH better ...but....

ANY advice would be SO appreciated.

This morning, Devon (11) nearly burned our house down. He was playing with a lighter on the kitchen counter, trying to burn 2 plastic soda bottles. We were all asleep. I got up, grabbed a smoke to go outside & noticed the lighter was terribly hot....and then [censored] hit the fan!!!!!!!!!!!

I spanked his bare @ss, but at this age, I had to be careful not to take it too far-I read news articles DAILY how parents are hauled away after 'beating' their kids. That would do no good.

So, I called our Chief of Police (our only cop) to have a talk with Devon. Didn't seem to faze him one bit .

Don't know what to do from here........... :BangHead: :dontknow:

Thanks for listening.....

Other things that's happened: I had surgery a year ago. We bought a HOUSE of our very own! I had surgery again! We bought my dream car-a 2004 Mustang Convertible GT! and a WHOLE lot more, but those were the GOOD things (kinda)  :thumb:

OK-that's all I can type right now. I'll be back-I PROMISE!!! I am adding pics to my gallery, so check there, too.
Thank you, for listening & sorry I've been away SO long...

My little guy Porky had gastrointestinitis last winter (December) so I can sympathize with you there.  His was brought on by an allergy so you might see if that could be causing the problem.    I really hope Cali is feeling better soon!!     We are very sorry to hear about Giz!!   :comfort:

For Cali you should make up some low sodium chicken broth and give her that for nourishment mixed with rice.    Porky lost a lot of weight when he was sick (3 pounds!) so its important to help them keep in some of the food they are eating.   I can't remember the name of the medicine Porky was given to clear up his gastro but it worked really quickly.  I think he had both an anti-nausea medicine and an antibiotic.   Just watch her closely and I'm sure she'll be okay. If the bloody stools continue, I would go into the vet and get some medicine for her.

We'll be praying for you!!   :comfort:

Thank you. I didn't have to resort to making Cali a special diet. She ate & dranks later Monday night after 2 doses of the medicine. Her bloody stools have stopped and she's much more herself these days. Cali weighs 11lbs. and is juuuuuust perfect! Thank you also on your kind words about Giz. I miss her  :sad1:, but thanks to her, we found out that Cali was sick, too.  :sad4: Happy Thoughts  :xfinger: (trying!!!)

Oh, I am so glad she is doing better.    :apls:   I'm glad she's back to herself again.  It is the worst to have to see them be sick.

I agree...this happened right after I got back  :home: from the vet after Gizzy. I was in a panic  :icon_pale:!  I thought....Cali has something wrong and she'll need surgery and it'll cost hundreds of dollars and hubby won't allow it  :fight: and I'll lose her. It was agony!!! Glad she's getting better, too. I feel I can't live w/o her  :love9:...really.
