and got blessed by the animal ministry team! It was so fun! We met two shih-tzus, one named Oreo. We sniffed a red boy dachsie, but didn't get his name. We wanted to sniff the desert tortoise, the three box turtles, and the iguana, but Mom wouldn't let us. We also think we saw a kitty in a crate, and there were some birds, and a few people brought pictures of their snakes or their dogs that might bite. Brekke and I were really good and loved on everybody. We also saw a gorgeous brindled boxer, a min pin, a baby Scottish deerhound, some of those chihuahuas, and some crossbreeds - Mom calls 'em Heinz 57s, so we figure they're German, too! We went up with Mom, and the nice man and lady on our side prayed for us, for protection, for freedom from disease, and to keep us safe from accidents, and to be the protectors of our family. We even got our backs prayed over, because someone on the animal team told all of 'em to watch out for dachsies! We got touched with some oily stuff, which Momma said was annointing oil - glad she likes it! Oh, I almost forgot - I, Robinton, sang along with the first song (well, I was actually talking to the shih-tzu, Oreo, but everybody thinks I was singin', so it's just between us, okay?) Brekke here: Hey, I was the first longhaired dachsie a lot of those people had ever seen, so I was on my very best behavior to impress all of them! I loved on all the kids - 'cause you know the animal-lover ones usually know how to ask Mom first if it's okay, and then they reach out to us. And just between you and me - Robinton can't carry a tune in a bucket. Momma just kept tellin' the lady next to us that he was taking the whole "joyful noise thing" way too seriously!
That is so cool you guys got to do that! I took Jessie and my kitty Simon to a Blessing once. It was very neat. I'm sure you 2 were the star attractions with or without the "joyful noise" Tell your Mom next time you do something cool like this to get some piccies for us!
There was a photographer on duty, Auntie DD. Momma doesn't know if our pictures will be in the church paper or on the website, but she'll be lookin' for them! (And Pastor Eddie's wife, Pastor Jenae, kept coming by to pet Brekke - Momma thought that was so sweet!)
Be sure to post it if you and the kids did make it into the shot!
Of course Pastor Jenae would stop to pet Brekke! Who could resist that little doll baby!!!   It's just a good thing you don't live near me or she might accidentally come home in my purse!
