Well kind of.I first encountered The DC on Prodigy back in 1990!It never occurred to me to look it up until today 18yrs later!!!
Anyway my dad fell down back in June and was in pretty rough shape and unable to care for his Dachshund "Simon",a nine year old red medium my dad adopted when he was around 8-9 months old.So my girlfriend and I took him in and he is now part of our family which includes a 9 year old Yorkie and 15-16 year old cat and my girl's 18 year old daughter. It truly is circus in the most literal sense of the word!My dad has since recovered quite well but will never be the same as before and Simon would be burden for him though we take him to visit every weekend.
Dachshunds have been a part of my life since the day I was born. They've been in my family always.
That's my story in short.
Welcome! most of us live in a circus too :2funny: so you are in goo company!! This is the best place for well, just about everything!! So this is how ist works for me do this :meme: if you need help, do this :2funny: then this :chairfall: when you read something from Auntie Karen she will kill you with her wit!, do this :apls: when you read something you like, and then just nbask in all the weiner    that's what it's all about!!! :thumb:
Thanks Jill.
Yup I can relate to us living in a circus.Last night Simon went for a skunk. We bathed him but he still had a slight odor to him and didn't sleep well meaning we didn't sleep well.
This has been his 3rd encounter but my 1st.Thank god my dad had the de-skunk shampoo at his house!Simon just had a proper bath and smelling fine and looking sharp with his new collar.
Welcome! So glad you looked up the site again! :hello2:

Its unbelievable its been as long as its been.I remember when my dad rescued him and now he's with us.Every weekend we take him to see his daddy and he still remembers home and yet he's ours at the same time.
Simon is an amazing little fellow that has so much love to give to all.
Not the best photo but one with Simon and toy:

Just wish I had better grass.
we had grass once but we have moles and our girls love to dig up their tunnels trying to catch them!! my poor hubby have given up! he refers to them as the digger-dogs!
