Title: Update on Dave -- Thanks for the Rays
Post by: DeeanDave on September 15, 2008, 08:47:01 AM
Dave went to see the orthopedic specialist on Friday -- we saw the fractured bone at the base of his big toe and the toe next to it.  Goes back in again on Thursday for updated xrays.  In the meantime, he is to put no weight on the foot, keep it elevated and iced.  We also got him a roller-aid (looks like a three wheeled scooter with a seat where he can rest his knee of the bad foot and scoot himself around the house.  Thanks for the rays so far.  Figure healing will be 6-8 weeks and if it's healing properly, then no surgery will be needed.  We're hoping for no surgery.....
