Stacey and Gregg, who are in our Dachsie Meetup group, have a small Dachshund Rescue. Currently they have 8 rescue pups available to loving homes. They also have 3 Dachsies of their own. Number 9,10 and 11 just arrived last night and as Stacey says, that just might be a few too many for the King Size bed. She put out the call for temporary foster parents and after talking it over with Mark, we have officially volunteered. Ours would be very temporary fostering and only one dog. We haven't be called to action yet but may be pressed into service soon. Her newest is a 5 year old big boy named Buster. He looks a lot like my Dolly girl without the brindle. Very well behaved tutored gentleman and a standard of about 20 lbs. As I said, we're just emergency fosters right now because we both work 8-5 but I do come home for lunch so maybe it would work just fine. I've asked not to take any of the real youngin's as that wouldn't be fair to Maddie. I think she would get along fine with a nice mellow fellow or older gal. If anyone is thinking about adopting and lives in CA, please consider these wonderfully cared for pups.
