Well, our landlord called this morning. She has decided she is tired of dealing with rentals and wants to move to Florida. So...she is listing our house for sale on Monday. And , she already has a buyer lined up!! :cussing: So...we are moving...AGAIN! :BangHead: I guess we'll be living with my parents again till we find something else.
OMG - I am so sorry...... why the heck did she wait until you moved in to decide ?????? That is pitiful.........
Good grief! You've really been through the wringer. Arrrrrgh!
I have a question. Do you have a lease? Most rental properties that I have rented made me sign a year's lease. So I was thinking if you had a lease, that maybe they couldn't make you move. I don't know, just thinking.

As our country's residents age, 50-plus communities are popping up more frequently. If we can offer 50-plus, how's about doxie-plus? This just bites!! I agree if you have a lease then they can't force you out. Maybe the new owner will want to keep it a rental. One can only hope. Hang in there. Remember what doesn't kill us makes us stronger!!!
Actually, we do have a six month lease. However, in Nebraska a landlord can break the lease fairly easily. Because she is listing the house for sale and we are not interested in buying it she can break the lease now. She told us we can stay until the house sells, but there are a few reasons we chose to get out now.
1. If she already has a buyer lined up like she says, we'll be evicted in a few weeks anyway.
2. The real estate company she picked has given us trouble before. (Coming over with potential buyers without giving notice, etc...) Remember when the real estate woman let the people's children scare the pee out of Porky while I was at work last year? It is the same company.
3. We want to get our stuff moved back into storage before it gets cold. Winter moving is the pits!!
I just wish she would have told us that she was thinking of selling before we moved in. :doah: I'm not as upset about it today as I was yesterday, it will benefit us financially to leave. We will get a $300 deposit back from the electric company, and $800 deposit + guilt fees from the landlord, and we won't have to fork out $500 for propane this month. That's the only positives I've been able to brainwash myself into believing.
We will have a very busy weekend, but we are planning on taking a well-deserved vacation at the end of the month. My grandma is here visiting; my husband has to work until 11 tonight and all day tomorrow; we are going to be housesitting/petsitting for my husband's parent tomorrow, sunday, and monday; and we have to move all our stuff into storage this weekend. Also, most of our stuff is still in boxes and our furniture wrapped in plastic until we are 100% sure we got rid of the mice. So, the moving should take one afternoon. :xfinger:
