Title: The Dogapult struck on Saturday
Post by: Kathleen on August 17, 2008, 11:52:19 AM
Soooo, introducing little baby girl no name yet

I'm hopefully going to be getting her on August 30th.  She's already 14 weeks and I took that picture, so why do I not have her already, you ask?  Well, let me tell you.

My next door neighbor's dog has Parvo.  They got her from the shelter at 8 or 9 weeks old and never finished giving her vaccinations.  :verdict: :BangHead: :cussing:  Which, of course, means that my little girl has to get her full set of shots and a titre test to make sure she has immunity before she can come home.

In any case, I'm hoping to show this baby-she and I will have a little hobby together and will learn how it's done together too.  I'm working on a name, so any suggestions are welcome.  The only caveat-I don't really want a chocolate/coffee/candy type name that are seen often in chocolate colored dogs.  I need a registered name, which must begin with Morgan's, and a call name.  I came up with "Morgan's I've Got the Time", but I'm having difficulty with a call name that's time/clock/watch related and I'm not entirely attached to the name in any case.  Someone suggested Ticker, which I like, but it's not very feminine.

Winston, Murphy and Reilly are in for a surprise in a few weeks!

Congrats!!!   How exciting for you....   Another name that would work with the clock/time name could be Millie/Milly, as for a milisecond??   And, it's feminine too....   Can't wait to see more pics, she is beautiful!!!         :thumb:

:crazyeyes:Ooo, is she delicious!!  Oops,my bad - no reference to chocolate.

O.K. well, how about Timex?  She takes a lickin' an' keeps on tickin'?  Or Seiko - a little Japanese/German connection?  No, that was over in '45.  :thinik:

:sign13: I got one: Longine!   A nice sound to it - but wait a minute.  Didn't Claudette Longine shoot her skier boyfriend?

That's Claudette Longet, Auntie Karen.  She used to be married to Andy Williams.

Thank YOU, Dr. Jean-Claude Killy Leaky!  Anyway, I like Longine - pronounced: lawn-JEAN.  You could spell it Longenie - like a "long wienie" - or maybe you could-

Auntie :bkiss: Karen, :runaway: NAP :director: TIME!! :bolt:

O.K., I'm laying down now.  OW, OW, STOP STEPPING ON MY CHEST!  QUIT LICKIN' MY FACE!!!

Sorry for the interruption, folks.  Auntie Karen will be back after she's rested! :sleepy2:

I really like Milli for millisecond, especially since that is probably how fast she will be getting into things in your house once she arrives! Congratulations on your new addition.

I always forget how many letters you can have!   She is adorable.   :hello2:
How about "Morgan's Rosemary and Thyme"?  (Well, it's pronounced "time", anyhow!)   Morgan Le Fey du Temps (I always liked the Merlin/King Arthur saga!)?   That's as in fait d'accompli, too, so it works as a pun, because you get fait du temps - do or make time...

What a GORGEOUS baby grrrrrrrrl!  Grrrrrrr to your neighbor.  Hope the little one gets to come home soon.  I have to admit, when I saw how LONG and LOW she was, I was thinking Miss Lola Bridgita as in low bridge.  I don't have a time theme name, but Milli sounds real good.
